The LCD 3.2E provides protection against
a wide range of Chemical Warfare Agents
(CWAs) and Toxic Industrial Chemicals
(TICs). Lightweight and compact, it can
be handheld or clipped discreetly to the
user’s clothing, belt or harness, enabling
them to undertake their primary role.
Constantly sampling the air to detect
and identify CWAs and with a large
library of TICs data, the LCD offers
the most advanced performance of
any comparable unit.
Designed for the digital battlefield, the
LCD runs continuously for up to 40 hours
on AA batteries. The unit is very simple
to operate with an audible alarm and a
clear, easy-to-read display giving details
of agent type, concentration and dosage,
enabling the user to take appropriate
counter measures.

LCD 3.2E was selected for the US DoD M4
Joint Chemical Agenct Detector (JCAD),
increment 1 Programme, and is used by
armed forces and emergency response
organisations around the world.
LCD 3.2E is used globally by armed forces
and emergency response personnel, and
is based on the original LCD, designed
to meet the requirements of the United
Kingdom Ministry of Defence LCAD
programme.

• Three modes of operation–
CW: for the detection of chemical
warfare agents
TICs: for the detection of Toxic
Industrial Chemicals
Survey: for the detection of residual
persistant contamination following
decontamination
• Detects, identifies, measures and warns
personnel of chemical agent threats at
levels below attack concentration
• Secondary display shows the
concentration in bar format and
includes accumulated dosage indicators
• Supplied with a carrying pouch to allow
hands-free operation. The pouch can be
mounted on clothing, belt or harness
• Can be integrated into vehicle systems
or onto robots with the AIM (Auto Inlet
Module) accessory to provide remote
and automatic operation.
• A survey nozzle can be fitted to
investigate areas of cargo, individuals’
clothing, etc
• Data logging records up to 72 hours of
mission data
• The flexibility of LCD 3.2E can be further
enhanced with the addition of a power
& communications adaptor (PCA)
for remote monitoring and multirole
applications, enabling connectivity via
USB or RS422 serial protocols.
• Available in five colours – black, beige,
yellow, green and blue
