Wednesday, August 23 1:00pm – 2:30pm Yetter Hall Check-In and Move-In (F/T/P) Residence Halls This is the time for students living in Yetter Hall to check in for WOW and move into their assigned housing. Students living in other buildings will not be permitted to check in at this time. Students may not check in any earlier than 1:00pm 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Student ID Yetter Hall room Students may obtain their student ID if they did not get it at check-in. 3:00pm – 5:00pm Harwood, Waite, Peaks, & West Campus Check-In and Move-In (F/T/P) Residence Halls This is the time for students living in Harwood, Waite, the Peaks Apartments, West Campus, or the Duplexes to check in for WOW and move into their assigned housing. Students living in Harwood, Waite, and the Peaks should proceed directly to their building for check-in. Students living on West Campus or in the Duplexes should proceed to the main desk at Yetter Hall. Students may not check in any earlier than 3:00pm. 5:00pm – 7:00pm Dinner (F/T/P) Anschutz Student Center Dining HallPlease join us for a casual dinner in the Café. All meals are free of charge to new students’ families. Meals for new students will be deducted from their meal plans. All meals are buffet style, served continuously during the hour. 9:00pm-10:30pm Ice Cream Social (F/T) Yetter Hall Plaza Enjoy treats, music, and a fun time getting to know your peers. Students need Student ID’s for meal plans, chapel attendance, class attendance and entrance to Yetter Hall. 9:00 am– 11:30 am One-Stop Shop (F/T/P) Event Center Come by the One-Stop Shop to take care of some important tasks from CCU departments and check out the resources available to you both at CCU and throughout the Lakewood Community. Here you can pick up parking permit,get help from IT if you haven’t been able to configure your laptop to CCU’s wireless internet, open a bank account at a local bank if you’d like, sign up for music auditions, check out local vendors, and more. (One-Stop Shop will also be open from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Friday in the Event Center.) After One Stop Shot, you may pick up your parking permit at the Anschutz Student Center Information Desk 9:30am Commuter Student Check in and Required Meeting (F/T) Location TBD Please check in for WOW to receive you nametag, t-shirt and other information. All commuter students are required to attend this meeting to find out important CCU policies. Health and Wellness in College 9:00am & 10:00am, Learn more about the free counseling services available on campus to all students, as well as information about health services provided by our campus nurse. The Director of Counseling Services and the Director of Health Services will lead this session. Finances with Service Central 9:00am & 10:00am This workshop will inform parents about the services offered through Service Central, as well as a brief overview of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available through CCU. What's EMS? 9:00am & 10:00am Learn more about Employment Management Services. We exist to provide professionalism and job training along with 3tiered job placement, specific to your student's needs and abilities.
