Peace Fresno is an education, advocacy, and activist organization. Our goal is
to abolish war. We oppose militarism. Our motto is "Action for social justice
and alternatives to war." We work to build the peace movement and
collaborate with other groups working for peace and social, economic, and
environmental justice.
We’re a PDA chapter, a (small) federal pac, founded to reform the Democratic
Party on the inside (the insurgency in the party) and to join coalitions for
peace and justice on the outside. In 2013 we decided to convince Bernie
Sanders to run, and were highly instrumental in his decision.
Reedley Peace Center meets every Friday evening. 6:30 potluck meal; 7-8:30
program centering on peace and justice issues, both local and global. Affiliate
of Fellowship of Reconciliation; co-sponsor of Reedley Peace Building
Initiative; participant in Campaign Nonviolence. Meetings in Fellowship Hall of
First Mennonite Church, 1208 L Street, Reedley. Everyone welcome.

healthcare is a human right, the death penalty should be abolished and war is
not the answer. Our monthly meetings are held on the Third Wednesday at
Denny's 1110 E. Shaw Ave. beginning at 6:30 pm.
We live out our covenant of love by working for social justice. Congregants are
active members of our committee, most of the members of our church
participate in Social Justice Committee projects through donations of their
time/money. We welcome all to Sunday Service at the Unitarian Universalist
Church of Fresno, 2672 E Alluvial Ave, Fresno.
Trans-E-Motion is a community benefit organization whose goals are to provide
support and education to transgender persons and to their family and friends.

We work towards racial justice in our community on personal, institutional and
systemic levels with a special focus on involving white people in understanding
and challenging systemic racism. We strive to make visible the foundational
and ongoing role racism plays in the structure and the impact of the
institutions that shape all of our lives.
