Our specialisms are English
and mathematics. These
subjects are the core of our
lives in today’s society. Sound

of their application allows us

Inspiration
We use information technology to engage, enthuse
and inspire our learners and our facilities and
expertise is of the highest quality.
Quality teaching and learning
exist to inspire, energise
and build positive working
relationships between teacher
and learner. Our priority is to
put the learner first.
Our modern equipment and
resources ensure that students
have access to the best of
learning experience. Our efforts
are directed at inspiring young
people to regard learning as
vital for life fulfilment.
The specialist subjects of

provide opportunities for
study at academic level and

Motivation
There is an enthusiastic involvement in extra
curricular activities and students are motivated
to develop and improve their personal best.
The spirit of competition
and the spirit of collaboration
are at the heart of what
motivates people. It is uniquely
demonstrated amongst
students as an important
aspect of our Academy ethos
of ‘working together to make
a difference’.

house
system
When students join us they are assigned to one of four Houses for their care,
guidance and support and for gaining and celebrating achievement and success
in their learning and in wider Academy activities.
The House system provides each
person – student and staff alike
– with a sense of identity and
belonging. Each student is placed
in a group and is supported by a
balanced guidance programme
led by an experienced tutor.
Each of the four Houses has two
House Leaders; one based on
each of the school campuses.
The role of the House Leaders is
to ensure that the highest level
of support, care and guidance
are provided for every student.
The House Leaders work closely
with the Academy’s progress
leaders to track student progress,
personalise approaches to
learning and engage and inspire
every child, to help them identify
Challenger
Enterprise
their strengths and talents and
to ensure that they have every
opportunity to achieve their full
potential.
Students’ House identity is
revealed in the colour of the
stripe in their ties.
Students feel a sense of
belonging to their House through
shared activities, competitions
and extra curricular activities.
We encourage loyalty, allegiance
and student voice to ensure that
students, when they leave are
confident, independent learners
who have a sense of self belief,
are aspirational and ambitious
for the contribution that they
can make to the local community
and society as a whole.
