STAYING SAFE ONLINE Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing some top tips for staying safe online that can
be shared with your children. This week’s top tip: Block It-Don't befriend people that you don't know. If you receive a
message from someone you don't know or you receive an offensive message then block the sender.

WARWICKSHIRE YOUNG CARERS- CAKE SALE IN SCHOOL On Thursday 27 April, there will be a cake sale in
school to raise money for the Young Carers project. We would be very grateful for any donations of cakes/biscuits
for the children to sell. If you would like your child to buy a cake please send them with money on the day.
GOODBYE Today we say goodbye to Jane Baynes, one of our cooks, who has worked in our school kitchen for 9
years! We would like to thank her for all of her hard work and we wish her all the best for the future.
INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS Children who play musical instruments in school were given letters to take home
reminding parents that fees for the Summer term are now overdue. Please make payment on ParentPay by today,

PTA EGG DROP Thank you to the PTA for organising a very enjoyable Egg Drop, the children thoroughly enjoyed
watching their eggs being thrown from the hall roof. There were some very imaginative creations on display. Thank
you to the parents who helped on the day and to Mr Bell for throwing the eggs off the roof and helping with the clear
up afterwards. Well done to 5M who won.
STRANGER AWARENESS Following an incident near a school in the Rugby area, we have been asked to remind
parents to reinforce the stranger awareness message to children.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY Summer Concert - May 24 at 7pm. Could members of the choir and orchestra please
keep this date free in your diary. Children who play instruments in school will be informed by their instrument teacher
if they are invited to participate in the concert. Letters will be given out at the beginning of next term with all details.

HOTSHOTS BASKETBALL Hotshots will be restarting on Wednesday 26 April. The club will be running for 12
weeks. A note will be given out after the Easter break with details of the cost for the Summer term.
NETBALL CLUB After the Easter break, Miss Kerr is hoping to run a Netball club for children in Years 5 & 6 on a
Thursday after school, 3.30-4.30pm. The cost of this club will be a £9 admin fee payable on ParentPay once your
child’s place is confirmed.
PHOTOGRAPHY/MEDIA CLUB This club will not be running in the first week of the Summer term. Information will
be sent out at the start of the next term if the club is continuing.
ORCHESTRA / CODE CLUB The £9 admin fee is due for these clubs for the new term. Please make payment on
ParentPay.
FOOTBALL CLUBS The cost of the Year 5/6 Girls football club and Year 6 Boys football club (Mondays) for the
Summer term will be £25.00 (for 10 weeks). The cost of the Year 3/4 Girls football club (Wednesdays) will be
£22.50 (for 9 weeks). The cost of the Year 4/5 Boys Football club (Wednesdays) will be £25.00 (for 10 weeks), and
the cost of the Year 3 Boys Football club will be £25.00 (for 10 weeks). If your child is continuing next term, please
complete the form attached and make payment on ParentPay. Refunds for any cancelled sessions this term will be
processed next week.
IMAGINEERING CLUB – NEW / CONTINUING MEMBERS The cost of next term’s Imagineering Club will be
£27.00 (9 weeks). There are spaces for new members. If your child would like to start / continue this club, please
complete and return the form attached and make payment on ParentPay.
SPANISH CLUB – NEW / CONTINUING MEMBERS The cost of Spanish club for next term will be £30.00 (10
weeks). If your child would like to start / continue this club, please complete and return the form attached and make

your child would like to continue, please send in cash in a named envelope, together with the consent form

SWIMMING FEES The cost of swimming lessons for the first half of the Summer term is £19.15 for children in 3KR
and, due to the May Bank Holiday, the cost for children in 3S is £15.32. Payment should be made on ParentPay.
DINNER MONEY The cost of dinner money for the next half term is £56.40 or £11.75 weekly or £2.35 daily.

WALES RESIDENTIAL VISIT The next instalment of £20 for children who are participating in the Wales residential

READY STEADY FUN RUN – Sunday 21 May This year's Ready Steady Fun Run takes place at Rugby &
Northampton Athletic Club on Sunday 21st May at 10am. This annual event is a fun morning for all the family, when
participants can enjoy exercise at the same time as raising funds for the local community. The main 5K race is
suitable for all abilities (age 8+) and is followed by children's races on the track. Medals and goodies will be provided

to all runners and there are prizes for the winners. Early bird discount available until 21 April at £10. Advance entry
£12 or £15 on the day. 8-16 years £5 advance entry or £6 on the day. Enter online at www.randnac.org
KWIK CRICKET COACHING Kwik Cricket Coaching at Rugby Cricket Club, Webb Ellis Road, Rugby. If your
children wish to learn how to play cricket then please come along to 90 minute coaching sessions every Sunday at
10:30-12:00 commencing 23rd April (subject to dry weather conditions). The sessions are open to both infants and
junior aged children and will cost £3.50 for one child or £6 for two. The sessions are run by ECA recognised coaches
to provide cricket skills, fun match practice using soft balls as well as some useful exercise. Additionally, the children
will have a drink and biscuit during a mid-session break plus a sandwich and lolly at the end of the session. Parents
and carers can watch from the pavilion with a tea or coffee during the session. If you would like further information
