MAKING A DIFFERENCE
SARAH’S RUN RAISES
£1,233.00
Sarah Bulley ran the Great North Run in September.
Her run took just over two hours, raising a total of
£1,233.00 for Epilepsy Outlook.
A former epileptic herself, (she used to have around 200
seizures a year- after surgery was completely cured) - she
decided to run the half marathon for other epileptics.
Sarah, from Bishop Cuthbert, ran it at a time of 2 hours,
10 minutes.
“The run went really well.”, said Sarah. “There was lots
of encouragement, all the way round.”
Epilepsy Outlook shops raised £350, the rest was
raised by sponsorship from businesses, and Sarah’s
family and friends.
Remarking on the final amount, Operations Manager
Jacqui Gettings, said “This is an amazing amount of
money. It will go towards our support services, giving
our clients free advice.”
Sarah stated that she would definitely do the run again
in the future.
The team at Epilepsy Outlook congratulate Sarah
for her amazing run which raised much needed
funds to support our vital work.

Charity Shop Collection
CARD MAKING CLASS
We are pleased to announce the return of
our weekly “Card Making Class”
It caters for all abilities and help is on hand
for those wanting to learn new techniques.
Materials are provided, and completed cards
can either be purchased by makers, or sold in
our charity shops to raise funds.
The Thursday sessions 1pm—4pm are free
- but for a yearly membership fee of £6.

Join our Art Class
Our established art group is looking for new
members for our Tuesday sessions 9:30 to 12:30 and 12:30 to 3:00.
If you fancy learning techniques in drawing,
painting in oils or pastels, Brian is on hand to
help. Materials are provided and free of
charge to members. Yearly membership is £6.
So why not join our friendly group… they
will make you feel very welcome.

Awareness Training
