Charlemagne ruled most of what are now France and Germany.
He was important because he brought people together and he
made them realize that Europeans had shared common bonds.
As Christianity was spreading Charlemagne had conquered
parts of,
Roman Empire.
Land was hard for him to keep so he fought in many wars and
battle just to keep them.
All of this was happening in the 700’s.
Mostly Charlemagne was known as Charles the Great.
After his death in 780 the Roman Empire was starting to fall.

Nobody will ever forget this Charles the Great,
Even today we still remember Charles the Great and what he
accomplished.
