Greetings, Cadets! Glad to see all of you are still with us as the cold winter sets in. The holidays will be here before
you know it, so keep up the good work and we’ll enjoy a well-deserved Christmas break.
I wrote to you last month about remembering that you are a representative of a proud service. I want to extend
a special thank you to everyone who helped with the Veterans Day programs this year. You represented your school,
and the Air Force, proudly and well, and reflected much credit on your fellow Cadets. Well Done!
And as we move into December, remember that the end of the school year will seem to come screaming at you
faster than you know. Our end of year Awards Banquet, to be held at the Oklahoma History Museum this year, will be
in May, and will require a LOT of planning and work to do it right. If your Cadet Leadership approaches you to ask for
your help, please give them your best effort. The location is FANTASTIC, and you can make the whole evening just as
good by helping out. Even if all you are able to do is work at some of our fundraisers, you will have contributed to a
great cause.
Keep up the great work, and remember that if you are traveling for the holidays to travel safely! That means
wearing your seatbelts at ALL times in the car. Seatbelts have saved my life, literally, and my parents as well. For
those of you Juniors and Seniors who already drive, remember that you need to be on the lookout for drunk or tired drivers out there, so plan ahead to get home a little earlier during the holidays – your folks will appreciate it more than
you know. Stay Safe!
