Schedule
Please post schedules in a place you will see them throughout the year!
Dear Amelia Band Members and Parents,
We are looking forward to another exciting and rewarding year with the Amelia High
School Band program. This packet contains very important information, mostly relating
to participation in marching band. At this time we need to collect an accurate count of
members who will be participating in the concert band program and marching band. It
is very important that all band students in grades 7-11 complete the “status form”
found later in the packet and return it by Thursday, February 24. Please read this
packet carefully. It contains vital information pertaining to the 2016 Amelia Rhythm in
Blue Marching Band, including calendars, schedules, and payment information.
Special attention should be paid to the band camp calendar. It is being provided
early so you are able to schedule vacations and appointments around the camp
schedule.
The Amelia Rhythm in Blue Marching Band is a fun and rewarding activity, which has
been achieved through a high level of commitment and dedication of our marching
band members. By signing the attached agreement you will be expected to participate
in all scheduled marching band activities. Failure to do so would be extremely
disruptive to those present at rehearsals. Please fill out the appropriate forms (indicated
at the bottom of the Letter of Agreement page) and return it to Mrs. Schrameck by
Thursday, February 24.
The music staff has made the commitment to continue building a long-standing tradition
of excellence in the Amelia band program. We will have two exciting marching band
shows for the 2016 season and taking a trip to Cedar Point. We challenge every
member to take true ownership in this class organization. By working hard and working
together, we can make this an exceptionally rewarding experience for everyone
associated with our band.
Sincerely,
Aimee Schrameck
