Arabian Peninsula Postcard
Choose one of the four environments of the Arabian Peninsula as a place that you believe would make a great
place to live. You will imagine that you are living there and want to write a letter back home to your friends or
family. You will create and write a postcard home that explains why you love living in that particular
environment.
Directions:
1. Use your Chapter 7 Cornell Notes and other information from Chapter 7 to gather information for your
postcard.
2. On the front (cover), you will create a decorative border around the entire edge. Then, put the title of your
geographic feature (desert, oasis, coastal plain, or mountain) inside the border at the top center. Then, you
will create an illustration (picture) of that particular place. THIS NEEDS TO BE COLORED.
3. On the opposite side of your cover, you will write a short letter home to a friend or family member. Things
you should include are as follows:
• What are some of the main features of this area?
• What are some of the obstacles (problems) with this area?
• What do you need to do to adapt to the obstacles in this area?
• Why is this the best place to live in the Arabian Peninsula?
