Early Release every Wednesday at 1:15 There will be no breakfast served on any day that there is a late start for any reason **If you are coming to school to eat lunch with your child please let the office know by 9:00. We will have our normal two hour early release at 1:15. Tiffin Elementary We will be having a parent teacher group meeting on Monday May 11th at the high school in the lunchroom at 6:30 PM. We hope to see you there. Lunch Balances Please make sure your lunch balances are paid up before the end of the school year. Personal Learning Plans Teachers will be contacting all families on either Wednesday May 20th or 27th for our last PLP. You will be receiving an email or phone call. If you would like to meet with the teacher face to face please call and set up a time with them. CCE Yearbooks CCE 14-­‐15 year books will be here next week. First come-­‐ First serve we have a limited number available. There was no pre-­‐order form. Price will be $10, ONLY Cash or Check. Volunteers Needed for Bouncy Houses! We are looking for volunteers to help with the bouncy houses at school on May 14th. If you would be available to help in the morning, afternoon or both please contact Amy Albert at: [email protected] CCE 4th Annual Talent Show: The Student Council is hosting a talent show for students to show off their talents. The Talent Show will be on Wednesday, May 13th at 8:30 in the gym. Parents are invited to attend the Talent Shows. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Knox or Mrs. Albert. CCA-­‐ Summer Day Camp The Clear Creek Amana Community School District will be offering a Summer Day Camp Program for school aged students. The day camp will be held at the Amana Elementary Site. The rate is $140.00 per week. Breakfast, lunch and two snacks each day included in the cost of the weekly program. Weekly rates will not be pro-­‐rated. There will be mental activities including library and computer time, physical activities including swimming and field trips. Plans are being made for a fun-­‐filled summer. The day camp will start the week of Monday, June 8 and will end on Friday, August 14 with the 3rd of July as a non-­‐camp day. The tuition for the week of June 29 will be $112.00. The camp is open daily from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. If you are interested, you will need to complete an enrollment form and pay a $140.00 deposit by May 11. The deposit will be applied to the first week’s fee. See your school office for an application. Flag Football Tiffin Flag Football is now accepting registrations for the 2015 season. Games (6) will be played on Sunday afternoons at the soccer fields in Tiffin starting in Sept thru mid-­‐October. It will be open for any child Kindergarten thru 4th grade or 5th grade if not in tackle football. We look forward to another successful year! We will be teaching the fundamentals of football to the children in a positive and supportive way. CCA Youth Volleyball The CCA Youth Volleyball Clinic will be held in August. A four week clinic similar to previous years’ clinics will be offered students starting 4th through 6th grade. After these four weeks, participants will have the option to continue through September by playing in games against teams from other schools at the Williamsburg Recreational Center on Sundays in September. Complete details will be available this summer. Because the clinic will start before school does, we are gathering contact information for interested students so that we can send registration information out this summer. CCA Youth Soccer League CCA Youth Soccer is accepting registrations for the fall 2015 season! Registration forms are available on our website and can be mailed in. Participation is open to anyone four years old by September 15, 2015, through eighth grade. Registration deadline will be July 10, 2015. Practices will begin in August, with games on Saturdays in September and October. THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL SPONSORED EVENT CONTACT THE CLEAR CREEK ELEMENTARY OFFICE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED Child Safety Fair – Creekside Park in Oxford – Saturday, May 30 from Noon to 3:00 PM The Canopy Lodge (Masons) will be holding a child safety fair on May 30 at Creekside Park in Oxford. There will be games for the kids along with representatives from various community organizations participating in the fair. Some of the activities and organizations that will be there are: •
The Oxford Fire Department will have a fire truck on hand and will be available for questions •
The Oxford First Responders will bring their rescue vehicle and will be available for questions •
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will send their K-­‐9 Unit – they will put on a demonstration and will be available for questions •
The UIHC Air Care will have their helicopter and crew on hand and will be available for questions •
