 AGENDA TITLE: Approval of the Local Government Officials Roundtable Checklist, as to Form, of
Actions Taken to Date to Implement Comprehensive Broadband Availability
throughout Mendocino County
 PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS: None.
 SUMMARY OF REQUEST: The Broadband Alliance of Mendocino County (BAMC), chaired by Jim
Moorehead and Greg Jirak, has compiled a checklist of actions taken to date to implement
comprehensive broadband service in Mendocino County. This checklist will be sent to the California
Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) to update the organization on actions taken to implement better
broadband service in Mendocino County. CETF advises on the distribution of funds for broadband
infrastructure development in California, and specifically the California Advanced Services Fund
(CASF). Because the Broadband Alliance of Mendocino County is a recipient of a small portion of this
fund, it is required to update CETF periodically on actions taken by local government officials in its
jurisdiction. This checklist will fulfill that obligation and is also a reminder to the Supervisors and to
residents as to the significant efforts being made to improve broadband availability in the County.
