LEONARDO DA VINCI

Leonardo da Vinci, genius, artist, a man adept at solving the world’s mysteries, faces his toughest challenge yet

Piero da Vinci is Leonardo’s father and serves as Lorenzo de’Medici’s notary. After years of pushing away his
bastard son, Piero finally has an emotional reconciliation with Leo after the reappearance of Caterina, and realizes
Leo is Italy’s best hope in the fight against the Ottoman invasion.

The “sister” of Cardinal Rodrigo and member of a powerful merchant family in Venice, Laura develops a close
bond with Riario. A bond that is threatened upon learning that Riario may not be the man even he believes
himself to be.
SOPHIA D'ESTE
(Sabrina Bartlett)
Dark, mysterious, and beautiful, Sophia is the daughter of Caterina, and the sister Leonardo never knew he had.
From the archaic, intellectually stifling environment of a convent, she now desires to experience all the world has to
offer. She's tougher and smarter than she lets on, but her prodigious knowledge has been gained only through
books – she has no life experience in the real world. Sophia is eager to live the adventurous life she's only read
about, but her sheltered past keeps her vulnerable in the face of danger.
DUKE ALFONSO II, KING OF NAPLES

A fierce military leader and passionate patriot, Alfonso will stop at nothing to protect his republic when the port city
of Otranto is invaded by the Ottoman Empire, even aligning with an old enemy.
CARLO DE’ MEDICI

After the bastard son of Cosimo steals the Florentine fortune out from under the nose of Clarice, he flees to Rome,
where he seeks refuge with his brothers in the Labyrinth. It’s no secret that Carlo has it out for Leo, but the
Labyrinth has plans for Da Vinci as well.
CAPTAIN DRAGONETTI
(Ian Pirie)
The leader of the Officers of the Night, Dragonetti’s loyalty to the Medici family once wavered, but over time
became steadfast, especially in his protection of Clarice. Upon Clarice’s departure, Dragonetti swears to protect
the new Mother of Florence, Vanessa, even if he doesn’t quite believe in her at first.
LUPO MERCURI
(Nick Dunning)
Learned and inquisitive, Mercuri serves under the Pope. Although his loyalty lies with the Church, a revelation of
corruption in the Vatican prompts him to reassess his position, risking life and limb to uncover the truth.
BAYEZID
(Akin Gazi)
Son of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Bayezid is on a mission to invade Otranto and ultimately conquer all of
Italy. But the company he keeps may not be entirely favorable of him as a leader, and his takeover of Italy may
prove tougher than he thinks.
MADAME SINGH
(Eleanor Matsuura)
An East Indian immigrant, Madame Singh is queen of the underground in the slums of Florence. She’s
aggressively sexy in a manner that rejects the trappings of the era, which fits her occupation as owner of
Florence’s hidden sexual escape, The Pleasure Palace. While Singh agrees to work with Vanessa, her true
allegiance lies with whomever can best serve her interests.
JACOB PASHA
(Raymon Coulthard)
Mehmed the Conqueror’s trusted advisor, Jacob, helps consul Bayezid in his dealings with the West. His
knowledge of his former homeland proves to be valuable beyond measure when an unexpected guest from Italy
comes calling.
LE COCCODRILLO

Singh’s right-hand man and most trusted confidante, Le Coccodrillo (or crocodile) is a scarred, tattooed and
pierced anomaly who finds a surefire way to get on Nico’s bad side.
THE ARCHITECT

Like the Labyrinth itself, its leader – known only as The Architect – is shrouded in mystery. Surprisingly affable in
nature, he relishes the opportunity to serve as Riario’s spiritual advisor, with grand plans not only for him… but
Leonardo as well.
GEDIK AHMED
(Stewart Scudamore)
An Ottoman military commander leading the invasion of Otranto, Gedik Ahmed is a bear of a man and a formidable
foe. An incredibly skilled swordsman, he plays executioner on the Hill of Minerva. Gedik chafes when taking orders
from Bayezid, the Sultan’s son, signaling a potential divide amongst the leadership of the Empire.
CATERINA
(Sasha Behar)
A mystical soothsayer held captive by the Ottomans, Caterina was revealed to be Leo’s long-lost mother at the end
of Season Two. A fallen Son of Mithras, the discovery of her true motives will rock Leo to the core and alter his
plans to stop the coming invasion.
