On the basis of only five initial shades, all 16 shades of the classic shade guide can be easily and quickly reproduced. 1. Milling and separating the restorations Zenostar restorations are made by milling the required work from pre-shaded Zenostar Zr Translucent blanks. The choice of blanks in the shades light, medium, intense, sun and sun chroma depends on the required tooth shade as shown in the shade guide (page 6). When the milling process is complete, the work must be separated from the blank at the pre-milled positions. 2. Grinding Gently grind the cervical and body areas with fine-grain emery paper. Suitable rotary burs can be used to characterize the occlusal surface. N.B. Avoid causing any fractures, cracks, edge chipping, sharp edges, indentations or undersized areas. 3. N.B. ■ Sinter programs apply to Zenotec Fire sintering furnaces ■ Please observe the instructions for use issued with the material ■ Sintering ■ After conditions apply to all types of dental restorations changing programs and then sintering without a cover, we recommend inserting a dummy run without contents 4. Polishing Polish the restoration evenly with a bison bristle brush and Zenostar Polish diamond polishing paste. Here it is important to always polish the occlusal surface to a high shine; this helps to prevent abrasion to the opposing teeth. 5. Individualization through staining and glazing Polierpaste The final shade nuance is achieved by staining with the stains from the Zenostar Art Module: Applying Zenostar Magic Glaze of Zenostar Magic Glaze Flu Apply the spray glaze thinly and evenly. To get the best results when applying the spray, hold the work in tweezers and rotate it quickly whilst spraying. Zenostar Magic Glaze and Zenostar Magic Glaze Flu do not retract from the edges and do not form beads on polished surfaces. This process is the ideal preparation for the subsequent application of the Zenostar Art Module stains. Glaze bake Carry out a glaze bake to fix the glaze. See the firing program on the next page. Individual staining The glazed work is then individualized with the stains of the Zenostar Art Module. This is followed by a stain bake. See the firing program on the next page. Recommendations for obtaining the desired shade are given in the table below. Tip With the Zenostar Magic Glaze Flu Spray you can put the perfect finishing touches to full contour restorations. The Flu Spray gives the restoration a fluorescence similar to that of natural dentition, perfectly rounding off the highly successful Zenostar concept. ■ Creates natural fluorescence for full contour Zenostar restorations. ■ Zenostar Magic Glaze Flu supports the fluorescent effect of the Zenostar stains, which are equally fluorescent. ■ Zenostar crowns now feature a fluorescence which is comparable to that obtained by a ceramic build-up and to that of natural dentition. Monolithic Zenostar single crowns should be fired with a heat rise of 45 °C / min; monolithic Zenostar bridges should be fired with a heat rise of 15°C / min. * Very large items or items with a gingival mask should be allowed to cool for correspondingly longer time: at least 15 to 25 minutes. Tip To achieve an especially rich glaze and color depth with 3D effect, an additional glaze bake can be carried out at 930 °C for 2 minutes. Important Do not remove work from the furnace whilst it is still hot (> 200 °C) and under no circumstances place it on a cold surface. Crown and bridge frameworks made from Zenostar Zr Translucent light, medium, intense, sun and sun chroma For traditional veneering / layering of zirconia frameworks with Zenoflex dimension or Zirox veneering ceramic, we recommend using a liner in the corresponding shade or in the case of Zenoflex dimension, a liner or core stain. Sintering is carried out as for Zenostar work, i.e. the work can be made in the same sintering operation. EXPECT THE DIFFERENCE! BY WIELAND.
