VillageCare at 46 and Ten Art Winners
Three residents at VillageCare at 46 and Ten residents recently competed in the LeadingAge
New York 2016 Art Competition and Exhibit. They were acknowledged for their extraordinary
work and creativity and were granted placing in various categories.
Pearl Neier’s piece was chosen as part of the top 70 and was placed in the traveling exhibit,
meaning it will be on display at all LeadingAge major conferences throughout the year. When
not traveling, this exhibit will be on display in the corporate office. Josephine Quichiz won a
Staff Choice award, having it selected by a staff member of LeadingAge as their favorite. In
addition to its award, this piece is now being displayed in the staff members office to enjoy
while the exhibit lasts. Lastly, Masami Kudo, Anna Dilorenzo, Rose Casamassina and Margaret
Amrogan each won a Gallery Award, granting their respective pieces to be exhibited in public
areas of the LeadingAge offices throughout the year.
The 2016 competition set a new record with a total of 246 entries as opposed to the previous
number of 230. The judges were then forced to narrow down a top 70 to submit into the
exhibit.
