December Update 2014
BEST FOOD GARDEN – GLEN INDUSTRIES – KARINYA RESIDENTS
Well we have been busy planting, watering, a little bit of socializing, and harvesting at the Glen Innes Patch at The BEST
Food Garden in Inverell. Despite some minor challenges, something nibbling our Zucchinis, things are growing well. Harvest has
begun and we will be making our FIRST DELIVERY to the Common Room for Karinya Residents in the afternoon on Wednesday
7th January 2015. We hope to have some tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis, onions and corn.

Below is a little update on what we have been up to since meeting with you.

On 8 October a team from Glen Industries; Shane,
Nathan, Danny, Sherree, Janelle, Jo, Kylie & Susan,
travelled to Inverell to plant Tomatoes, Cucumbers and
Zucchinis in the Glen Innes Patch at the BEST Food
Garden.
4th November

On the 4th of November Janelle and Barbara headed
over to Inverell with Jo & Kylie and picked and hung
onions with the Year 7 students of Holy Trinity School.
We were joined by residents from McLean Care Retirement
Village, KCL Daycare kids, Brighter Access and a host of
carers and supporters.

caught up with some familiar faces.
