January 2016
Student Council Fundraiser
by: Maya Walther
Congratulations, Farnsworth students!
With your help, the “Star Wars” fundraiser for Make-A-Wish was the most
successful fundraiser we’ve ever had. It
ran from January 6th to January 15th.
Students and staff were able to buy
stars for $1 each. The students were
not only donating money to help Makea-Wish, but they were trying to help
their advisory bring in the most money.
donated by Student Council. The advisory classes that bought the most stars were
Mrs. Mckenzie’s advisory in sixth grade,
Mrs. Roehl’s advisory in seventh grade,
and Mr. Chase’s advisory in eighth grade.
Make-A-Wish is an organization that
grants wishes to children with life threatening diseases. All money raised in our
fundraiser will go towards granting wishes
to children here in Sheboygan. Thank you
As a school, Farnsworth raised $1,738. to everyone that bought stars and helped
$1,488 came from star sales and $250 was to make this fundraiser so successful!

Movie Review
by: Gabby Bricko
Are you wondering what all the Star Wars hype
is about? If yes, you should go watch The Force
Awakens in theaters today. This is the 7th Star
Wars movie to be made.
The Force Awakens introduces the viewer to new
characters. Rey is the main character. She is
never afraid to show someone who’s boss. She
partners with Finn, a former stormtropper, and
BB-8, a droid, to stop Kylo Ren from destroying
the resistance and finding the map to Luke Skywalker. Their journey is long and they encounter
many obstacles along the way. To find out if they
are successful, you will have to watch the movie.
The Force Awakens has grossed over $1.87 billion.
It is a movie that has humor, drama, and a lot of
action. It will keep the viewer on the edge of their
seat. Head to the theaters today!
In the Know with the Farnsworth SRO

We’re officially past the halfway mark as the
second semester has started. By now you’ve
figured out your new schedules and have
settled into your classes and routines. It may
seem far away but before we know it, spring
break will be upon us. Some of us will travel
far away to explore unfamiliar territory while
others will stay close to home and find other
ways to forget about school for awhile. During your time away from school, you may
face yourself in a situation where you’re left
wondering, “Will I get in trouble if I do this?”
Students often ask me if something is illegal
or not. I often tell them “it depends on the situation”. This is not an avoidance technique- it
really does depend on the specific circumstance and the perceptions of the people involved. Consider the following examples:
1. Wally is at home hanging out with
some friends. They decide they’re going to blast
the music and sound from the X-Box. It’s loud.
The walls are shaking and people can even hear
it outside across the street. Wally has a lot of
neighbors who are much older and some of them Differences in perceptions matter. Something
