Beech Hill Primary School Scheme of Work: Spanish Summer Term 2015 Year Group: 2 Topic Theme and Overview: This term, the children will begin to learn terms for the weather in Spanish. They will learn to say, read and write these terms through a variety of games and practises. Learning outcomes: Vocabulary: Most children will: Practise saying Spanish vocabulary showing improvements in pronunciation. Learn to apply their new skills in games. Learn some Spanish vocabulary by heart. Hace sol – It’s sunny Hace viento – It’s windy Esta lloviendo – It’s raining Hace mal tiempo – It’s bad weather Hace buen tiempo – It’s good weather Esta nevando – It’s snowing Es niebla – It’s foggy Hace frio – It’s cold Hace calor – It’s hot All children will: Practise saying Spanish vocabulary. Join in with Spanish games to enhance their learning. Recall some Spanish vocabulary with support. Some children, exceeding expectations, will: Practise saying Spanish vocabulary with accurate pronunciation. Take the lead in playing games. Learn an increasing range of Spanish vocabulary by heart.
