REMEMBER THE OCTOBER ELECTION
The arrival of September also means the POA election is coming up next
month. We will be electing four (4) Trustees and Architectural Control
Committee members.
You must be a POA property owner to be elected. Anyone who wishes
to run must be nominated at the September 17th meeting to be
included on the proxy and preprinted ballot.
Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the October Annual
Meeting as write-in candidates only.
The election materials (Notice, Proxy/Absentee ballot, Candidate
Biographies) will be mailed around October 1, 2013.
The election will be held at the Pecan Grove Country Club on October
15, 2013. There are four (4) ways to cast
your ballot:
1) in person at the Annual Meeting;
2) assigning your proxy to an individual;
3) assigning your proxy to the Board of Trustees;
4) Directive Proxy/Absentee Ballot (early voting) which allows you to
cast your vote as you see fit. You may also select Quorum Only which
by state law is a nonvoting proxy.
All proxies must be received by noon Monday, October 14, 2013—NO
EXCEPTIONS.
All September nominees must have their personal biographies, not to
exceed 85 words, in the POA office by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday,
September 19, 2013, in order to be included in the mail out.
