First of all, we have to apologize for being a little late in writing our prayer letter this
time. Though we have no excuse, we have to say that September, October and
November has been very busy for us this year.
On September the 1st, our fellow co-laborer went to the States for a threemonth-furlough. My work increases during these times. This is my typical schedule:
-On Mondays, we have visitation.
-On Tuesdays, I have a Bible class at Villanueva. Our purpose is to start another church
here where we live.
-On Wednesday night, I preach almost verse by verse on the book of James.
-On Thursdays, I have four hour-classes on Systematic Theology, Church History,
History of Fundamentalism and Music Philosophy in our little, Bible Institute.
-On Sundays, I give a spiritual devotional and a preaching-teaching time in the
mornings, then preaching in the evening. I also lead the services.
I hope I did not bore you with my explanations. I was sure that I had written our
prayer letter in September, but then realized that I never did it. Again, I am very sorry.
Concerning our family: For a few days in September, we had a precious visit
with Pastor & Sis. Reeise. They are from one of our supporting churches. He preached a
tremendous message on Wednesday evening. We much enjoyed being with them.
Also, I have to say thanks so much for those that have sent birthdays cards for
my birthday. I am very grateful for your remembrance of me at this special time. May
the Lord bless you for your thoughtfulness.
On October 23, we had Fina´s two surgeries simultaneously. She needed surgery
on her gallstones, which they did by laparoscopy, and at the same time an eventration
(abdominal hernia). She stayed four days at the hospital. We thank the Lord and all
those that have been praying for her at this time. She is still recovering, but everything
has gone well.
Concerning the ministry: We have seen several people growing in the Lord,
especially the two students we have in the Bible Institute. We have seen some working
of the Lord in their lives.
We are now in the middle of Christmas program preparation. All the children
are involved in the program. My wife is responsible for this special event. She is also
preparing a special ladies Christmas meeting for December 12.
Special prayer request: As I said above, we are praying and making steps
toward a new church in Villanueva de la
Torre, Guadalajara. We have asked the
Iglesia Bautista de Villanueva de la Torre
Mayor if the City Hall would be led to
approve an urbanized plot for us to put a
little building on to be able to start the
church. I was very surprised by her answer.
She told me that she would be glad to help
us on that or in any other way, though I did
have to remind her to present it to the right department. We are now waiting for their
answer. Please join us with your prayers. Here is a picture of the building we would
like to put on that plot, Lord willing. This pre-made building will cost about
$13,000.00 including transportation fees. This building was marked as $30,000.00.
The Lord helped lower the price significantly, because the seller is tired of having it
there and not being able to sell it. Dear people, thank you so much for being so
gracious with us by your precious prayers and faithful support. Very often we give
thanks to God for all of you.
