2016
News From The Office
Now that the hot weather is here, we will be
scheduling swim days. Parents, can you please
leave an extra bathing suit or little swimmers with
your child’s teachers. We want to make sure
that they have everything they need for our special days!
For the children’s safety and for the benefit of the environment, we ask that you please turn your car off, when dropping
off and picking up your children. The parking lot is located
near the playground and the fumes from the cars may be
harmful to the staff and children. Thank-you for your cooperation.
If your child is going to be absent from daycare we ask that you
please call the centre to let the staff know by 9AM that day. Also, to
help the staff with programming, there are vacation lists outside of
each room. If you will be away with your child for a vacation please
fill in this list so we are aware of you absence. Thanks.
We hope to see all the fathers and their children at our annual Father’s Day movie event. It will be held on Saturday June 18th. Doors
will open at Devonshire Mall Cinema at 9:30 am and the movie
“Finding Dory” will start at 10:00am. Snacks will be served. Hope to
see you all there. Please make sure you have
RSVP’D to Miss Sarah by Friday, June 10th.
This year we are having our annual Family
BBQ in July, at the Fogular. More information
will follow in the next couple of weeks.

Infant ONE
We would like to welcome June with a warm smile! We are very happy that
the nice weather is here.
Please be sure to bring in sun screen for your child and a hat as we will be
brining them outside in the Toddler area to play.
A reminder to please check your child’s cubby and replace the Winter
clothes with Summer ones such as shorts and a T-shirt.
We will also be going on walks during the Summer to Jackson Park.
We will be sure to give you notice prior to our walk days. This month
our walk days are; Thursday, June 2nd

Infant TWO News
One of the babies favourite songs is “Mr. Golden Sun!” We think
he likes our singing because he sure is shining down on us! Now
that Summer is here, we’re ready for lots of fun in the sun! Everyone has really been enjoying this beautiful weather, so we will
continue spending lots of time outside! To ensure your child doesn’t miss out on any fun activities please bring in the following for
them: Summer change of clothes, sun screen, sun hat, swimmers,
swim wear (bathing suit) and a towel.
We’d like to wish Aiden a very Happy 1st Birthday this month, he
will be turning one on Wednesday, June 1st. We hope you have a
wonderful day.
We’d also like to wish all our Dads a very Happy
Father’s Day. We hope that you can joy us at the
“Daddy and Me Movie”, on Saturday, June 18th.

Toddler One Newsletter
Suns out and Toddler one is out! When the sun is shining bright,
and Toddler one is smiling ear to ear! It only means one
thing...water play! This month we will be exploring with water play in our classroom and the playground! We are asking all parents to bring in a bathing suit
and towel to stay with us here over the Summer months. Make sure your child’s
name is clearly labeled on everything.
We are officially welcoming Miss Crissy into Toddler One! She will work alongside of Miss Sarah-Jane. Miss Lucie is going to miss all of you little friends as
she moves down to Toddler 4.
Happy Birthday this month to Leonardo who will be celebrating on
June 22nd. We hope you have a wonderful day. We are looking forward to celebrating with you!!

Toddler Two
Hip Hip Horray, it’s June! That can only mean one
thing...Summer is here and so is the heat!
If you could please try to bring in sunscreen and hats it would
be greatly appreciated, as we don’t want our little friends
getting burned.
Parents Reminder:
*Please try to keep any toys, cups, soothers, blankets etc. at home or in the
car as we don’t want anything misplaced.
*Please do a clean sweep of the cubbies to try eliminate clutter.
*We are also asking for parents to start bringing in a bathing suit and
swimmers for our splash pad days.
A BIG Happy 2nd Birthday goes out to Jocelyn on June 11th, and Jase on June
15th. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
We would like to officially WELCOME Miss Lexi into our room. She has been
doing a great job with all of the Toddlers, they really enjoy her!
A sad goodbye goes to Brody who is graduating on up to Preschool 2. We will
miss you but know you are more than ready for it.

Toddler 3 Newsletter
During June we will be talking about all the different bugs and focusing on Spring! We will be
learning and exploring different bugs as we see
them outside. We will go on walks and talk
about the different bugs we see!
We are also going to talk about flowers as we see lots of them starting to bloom! We will also be smelling lots of different flowers.
Reminder: as it gets warmer out we need a set of spare
clothes for Spring/Summer! We will also be using the
splash pad so please bring a bathing suit, towel and
swim diapers! Our playground is very sunny so please
also bring in a hat for outside.

Toddler Four
We would like to welcome Miss Lucie to our Toddler 4 Room. We
are excited to get to know you better and use all the new ideas
you will bring to the room. Miss Crissy we wish you the best in
Toddler 1. You’re not far away, just down the hallway.
The warm weather and sunshine in here. Please make
sure your child has sun block and a sun hat. Also
make sure that the items are clearly labelled with their
name, Thank you.
Please make sure your child has weather
appropriate spare clothes. You can also
bring in a bathing suit to be kept at school
for the Summer months. This way we will be
ready for the HOT days to enjoy the water.

Preschool ONE
Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me. Well friends
we asked for it and now we have it. So don’t forget to send in some
sunscreen for your child if you haven’t already done so. Thank you!
To keep up with out warm weather theme we have some summery
special days coming up!
Movie day is Wednesday, June 1st.
Crazy hair day is Thursday, June 9th
We are having a carnival day on Wednesday, June
15th along with face painting
We are having a picnic lunch on Friday, June 24th.
Last but not least we are making ICE CREAM
SUNDAES on Tuesday, June 28th.
Only 1 super special Birthday this month. Averie is turning 3 on
Thursday June 23rd! We hope you have a wonderful day.
There are a couple festivals around that you might be interested in:
Art in the park is June 4th and 5th
Strawberry Fest is June 9th to the 12th
Summer Fest is June 16th to July 3rd
And FIREWORKS are on Monday, June 27th!!
Parents please remember to keep all toys at home. We do
not want to misplace these items or have them get broken. Also make
sure to check your child’s cubbies and make sure that all extra items
are taken home. Thank you.

Preschool 2 Star
The warm weather better be here to stay!
We
are so excited for all of our Summer activities. Reminder, to bring in sun screen if you
haven’t already done so. Splash pad days are
just around the corner. Parents, please bring
in a bathing suit and towel that we can keep at
school for the Summer months.
We have started a weekly story board in our classroom so come
in and take a peek and see pictures of fun activities that we
have been up too!
It’s no surprise we have our ABC’s down pat but now we are
really excited about practicing how to write our letters.
Everyday we pick a new letter to master, ask to see at home!

Summer is just about here! Finally!! We have quite
a few things coming up this month and cannot
wait to start the festivities!
Parents: Splash pad days are just around the

diapers if your little one needs them). Our splash pad days will be

Tuesday, June 7th: Movie Day: The preschoolers have been itching to
watch the new Paw Patrol movie that Miss Taylor bought, so we have
decided to let them relax and enjoy. Miss Carlen will be bringing in her
popcorn maker – it will be a morning at the movies!
Thursday, June 16th: Making Popsicles: What better is there way to beat
the heat, than to make popsicles?? We will be making chocolate fudgsicles and fruity popsicles! Let us know if you would prefer your child
NOT to have any.
Wednesday, June 22nd: Bounce House and Parachute Fun Day: We will
set up the bounce castle and have the parachute accessible to let the
preschoolers get in a good workout!
Thursday, June 30th: Picnic: On this day, we will be basking in the lovely
weather and enjoying our lunches outside! This will be weather permitting.
