Morning Announcements Today is Thursday, October 22nd Day 5 Of the 6 day cycle Please dismiss the Cross Country team today for a meet at Freedom High School for the Patriot Invitational at 1:45. Please dismiss the 7th grade Football team today at 1:45 for an away game at East Stroudsburg North. Last night the 8th grade Bears football team played a hard fought game against East Stroudsburg North. However this was not enough for the Bears they lost the game. This dropped their record to 3 wins and 3 Losses. The 8th grade’s next game will be on Wednesday October 28st vs. East Stroudsburg South at PV on the varsity field. Game time is 5:30. Come out in support of the Bears. Any boys interested in attending a basketball shooting camp see Mr. Gould in room P8. Winter sport physicals are scheduled for Saturday, October 24th in the high school cafeteria. Please see signs posted throughout the building for your sports specific time. Do you like Professional Wrestling? If so the Pleasant valley All Sports club is sponsoring the “Battlefield Pro Wrestling event: Reloaded”. Come out to a family event that promises to be exciting. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults and can be purchased in the main office. The Annual PVEN Harvest Food Drive has begun. This is a homeroom competition and the winner will be announced at the Pep Rally on October 30. All donations in boxes, bags or plastic are gratefully accepted. No glass please. We have historically made a huge positive impact on our local food pantries through our MS participation. Your donation makes a difference. Black and Orange Day is Friday, October 23rd. For a $1 donation to Families in Need students are permitted to wear jeans with their Black and/or Orange shirt. Jeans must be free of holes or tears and dress code compliant footwear must still be worn. Remember: Black and/or Orange shirt + $1 = Jeans Spirit week begins next week! Spirit week is the week we build up to our annual bucket game against Pocono Mountain East. As in the past we will have our door decorating contest. Each homeroom will compete against one another to show our PV spirit! The winning homeroom will receive a “beautiful” bear trophy to display in their homeroom until next year!! A new twist this year is that teachers and staff may assist in the design and decorating of their doors!! Put on your thinking caps, decorating may begin during activity period tomorrow and must be completed by Thursday, October 29th by 1:00 when the judging begins. Remember - all doors need to be school appropriate. The winner will be announced at the Pep Rally on Friday, October 30th. Let’s all show our PV pride and make your door “Bear-Tastic”! Any Blue and White Attire- NO hooded garments No Face Painting Jeans MAY be worn During Spirit Week (10/26-10/29) we will be selling tickets during all lunches to win a chance to throw a pie at a staff member during the October 30th Pep Rally! 21 staff members have volunteered. The 3 staff members who receive the most tickets will have a pie thrown at them by a lucky ticket buyer chosen from each bucket! Tickets cost $1 each. Proceeds benefit Mini-THON.
