Have you signed your Waiver?
As a part of your registration and insurance with Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF), all participants
are required to sign a paper copy of the AGF ‘Notification of Risk’ waiver as well as the ‘Personal
Information Protection Act’ (PIPA) form. If you have not already submitted a hard copy of these forms
which are valid until June 30th, please ensure you and your child don’t miss any playtime. Please
complete the waiver in advance and arrive at the gym 15 minutes prior to your class start time. If you
have any questions or concerns, please contact the main office.
Taking Photos
We want you to have the opportunity to capture the memories of your child’s gymnastics experience. If
you are taking photos of your child, please ensure there are no other children in the background.
Please also ensure any photos posted on social media are of your child only and there are no children in
the background. Please also keep the flash off when taking photos as it can distract gymnasts
performing high level skills.

Safety Information and Guidelines
Parking Lot and Arriving for Class
•
•
•
•
Parking is available on both the north and south sides of our building.
Children ages 3 – 6.5 must be accompanied into the gym by an adult. For safety reasons we strongly suggest this for all children
attending classes.
For the safety of our participants and their families please follow the signage in the parking lot at all times.
Please ensure you have locked all doors and removed all valuables from your vehicle.
Gymnastics Attire and Jewelry
•
•
•
•
Please come to gymnastics in clothing that allows full range of motion. Appropriate attire includes bodysuits, shorts, fitted T-shirts,
leggings, and athletic pants.
Buttons, zippers or snaps on a gymnast’s clothing could catch on equipment or scratch your child.
Hair should be tightly secured with elastics, barrettes or clips.
For safety reasons all jewelry including necklaces, earrings, watches and bracelets should be left at home or removed before class and
given to a parent.
Where to Go & Watch
•
•
•
•
•
Please place all extra clothing and shoes into the designated cubbies.
Parents and siblings are welcome to watch from the viewing area at the front of the gym. We have chairs available and plug-ins for
electronic devices.
Please ensure children are supervised at all times while at the play area with chalkboards.
All participating children will be asked to wait outside the gym gates until the start of their class.
If you need to remove your child early from class, please communicate this with your child’s coach prior to the start of the class, or
ask the office staff for assistance.
Medical Information
•
•
•
•
If your child has any medical concerns on his/her hands or feet (cuts/warts etc.), please use athletic tape to cover a bandaid before the
start of the class. Athletic tape can be purchased in the office.
Epi Pen/Inhaler Station – a drop off station is available in the gym area. Please give a supervisor or your child’s coach the medical
equipment prior to the start of class. ALL ITEMS should be clearly marked with a name and phone number.
The coaching staff will be made aware of all identified medical concerns of a gymnast. A star on a name tag indicates a medical note
on a child’s account.
The Calgary Gymnastics Centre strongly supports and appreciates your efforts in making our facility nut and scent free.
** All coaches are trained through the National Coaching Certification Program **
