(AAA, AA, 9-volt, etc.)
Use rechargeable batteries whenever possible! Technology keeps getting better and improving in performance.
Save money and get hundreds of charges from the same
rechargeable. Either way--
Keep them out of the Landfill! Batteries
contain heavy metals, plastic and hazardous materials that
can be recovered, recycled and properly handled.
Bring them to our Ultimate Recycling Day (URD)
Sept. 19 at New Lex Kroger Parking Lot, 9-Noon!
URD events are held twice a year, once in the spring, once
in the fall. Rechargeable batteries may also be returned to
most electronics stores: Best Buy, Radio Shack, Staples, etc.
