In the spirit of the famed “Out of Africa,” explore two unique areas of Kenya that beautifully combine diverse wildlife, dramatic
scenery, fascinating people and valuable conservation efforts. Your journey begins as you fly by private charter to the Laikipia Plateau
where woodlands, grasslands and fertile riverbeds nestle between the iconic Mount Kenya and Great Rift Valley. You then travel to
the legendary Maasai Mara for a quintessential African safari encompassing abundant wildlife, endless grassy plains and towering
escarpments.

Day 1:Private charter from Wilson Airport to Segera Retreat, Laikipia
for three nights
Day 4:Private charter to Angama Mara, Maasai Mara for three nights

Segera Retreat / Six sumptuous timber and thatch villas rise
above a profusion of botanical life, each offering a private sun
deck with sun loungers, a swing bed and a Jacuzzi bath.
The convivial and opulent main areas are filled with contemporary
African art from the Zeitz Collection. Diverse game viewing and
natural beauty is complemented by a culture of wellness that
extends to the soil, the environment and the communities that
surround us.
“Out of Africa” relics include G-AAMY, the original 1929 biplane
used in the film as well as a collection of Karen Blixen’s private
journals and unpublished letters.

• Three nights at Segera Retreat on a fully inclusive basis – all meals and local drinks (excluding the
owner’s selection of imported brands and champagne), wireless internet, local Government taxes and
laundry and standard retreat activities including drives (game/art), walks (guided/art), C4C, sleep
outs, visit to a local homestead and a variety of other community-based activities.
• Charter flight Segera Airstrip to Angama Mara Airstrip
• Three nights at Angama Mara – all meals and drinks (excluding French Champagne), laundry services,
emergency medical evacuation insurance, VAT and levies, babysitting and activities including safaris
into the Mara Triangle and walking safaris on the escarpment.
• Charter flight Angama Mara to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
Angama Mara / With a seat on the edge of Africa’s Great Rift
Valley, Angama Mara has views that stretch for miles across
the Maasai Mara National Reserve below. Two separate camps
of just 15 luxurious tents are fitted with glass frontage and
wooden decks. Dining, lounging and socialising take place in
the magnificent guest areas which include a handsome brickclad library. The Pavilion, set between the two camps, is home to
a shop, a swimming pool and a fitness room. Activities include
tailor-made game drives, walking safaris, “Out of Africa” picnics
and opportunities to interact with the Maasai people. Built on the
very Ngong Hills that Blixen writes about, Angama Mara is filled
with subtle touchpoints that celebrate the much-loved novel and
film.

• If Tropic Air is not available, the package price is subject to change. Package costs subject to flight
cost variations (increase in fuel price etc)
• A deposit of 30% is due on booking confirmation and the balance is due 60 days prior to travel
• Cancellation fees of 30% will be charged on bookings cancelled in writing more than 60 days prior to
travel. Full cancellation fees of 100% will be charged on bookings cancelled within 60 days prior to
travel. Will be held for a period of 14 days prior to confirmation.
