The curriculum includes the integration of nursing science, concepts and theories from related disciplines, along with practice and research. Opportunity is provided to pursue individual interests with respect to clientele and healthcare settings. General Objectives The Master of Arts in Nursing program is designed to prepare qualified nurses in the Philippines and abroad for clinical specialization, leadership and evidence-based nursing major in Nursing Service Administration and Maternal and Child Health. Both programs require the completion of a practicum and a thesis. The practicum provides students opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills they learned in the academic environment to the community, state, or public health institutions. The thesis provides students opportunities to study health problems in depth, using analytic and research skills. The program is intended for professional nurses to increase competence in various fields of nursing, including education, research and clinical practice.
