The London Chamber of Commerce Property and Construction Group is an established
support forum for all members who are concerned in any way with property, building
development, planning, design and construction. The Group has an annual programme of
eight events, designed to encourage networking and industry awareness.
BREAKFAST CLUB
The Property and Construction Breakfast Club is a series of six briefings, each featuring a
keynote address from a leading industry figure. These events are only open to Premier
Plus members of the London Chamber of Commerce, although members are welcome
to book places for non-member guests at each event, making these events a cost-effective
opportunity for client entertainment.
Property and Construction Breakfast Club events are designed to help you expand your
network of contacts and promote your business to a targeted industry sector, in a relaxed
club-like setting.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Each Breakfast Club provides a unique opportunity to network with up to 80 key players
within the property and construction sector.
Commencing at 8.15am with registration and breakfast, the keynote address will take
place at 9.00am, followed by a question and answer session at 9.20am. Formal proceedings
will conclude at 9.30am with guests invited to stay and network until 10.00am.

Mat Oakley is head of Savills’ highly acclaimed commercial property
research department. He leads a team of 18 research professionals
who cover all aspects of commercial property research in all the key markets throughout
Europe.
Mat’s primary areas of expertise relate to London offices, retail and leisure property. He
regularly advises investors and developers on opportunities and risks across all of these
markets on a project-by-project basis, or as a strategic adviser to boards and credit
committees.
Mat chairs the British Council for Offices’ (BCO) research committee and sits on their
board. As part of this role, he drives the BCO’s research strategy which largely relates
to occupier-related issues. He recently authored the BCO report “Office Futures”, which
examined how the use, design, and construction of offices is likely to change over the
next 20 years.

Stewart McColl is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly motivated
professional with extensive exposure in the architecture and design
markets with experience at all levels from start-up to AIM listing.
A visionary, who applied a buy and build formula to architecture to create a
'confederation' of architecture businesses able to service larger projects in a growing
market, Stewart founded the SMC Group Plc which became the largest architectural
practice in Scotland and the second largest in the UK (source RIBA awards, May 2007).
A chance professional encounter with Alister Robinson in 2008 led to a realisation of
shared ambitions and working values and the formation of the new architectural and
design practice Robinson McColl in 2009.

ANDY STANTON,
HEAD OF SUSTAINABLE

Andy is a chartered building services engineer and has worked and studied in France and
the UK, specialising in energy efficiency and sustainability, both in the private and public
sectors. He has been with TfL for over nine years, and in his current role has
responsibility for the sustainability and environmental performance of 54 head office
commercial buildings and 3,000 commercial properties that make up TfL’s property
portfolio, as well as raising the profile of building sustainability in TfL.
His team has delivered year on year improvements in energy and water efficiency and
has been part of the energy efficiency accreditation scheme since 2003, as well as being
short listed and winning low carbon, energy and environmental awards. Andy is the
current Energy Services and Technology Association energy manager of the year.
In addition to the current project to install London’s largest stationary fuel cell combined
heat and power (CHP), he is currently managing a multi-million pound energy efficiency
retrofit programme at 22 of TfL’s buildings and working on a programme of decentralised
energy.
