Care of your
Govs Card
To protect your Govs Card treat it with care as you
would your driver’s license or credit card. Magnetic fields
can demagnetize and invalidate your Govs Card, so keep
it away from TVs, stereo equipment, microwaves and
other magnetic devices. To replace your card you must
pay $20 at the Cashier window in the Browning Building,
then bring the receipt to the University Center room 207.
Do not punch holes in or staple your card. Doing so will
result in a $20 replacement fee.
Lost/Stolen Cards
If your Govs Card is lost or stolen, report it to the Facilities
Office immediately. There is a $20 charge to replace lost or
stolen cards.

identification card for every student,
faculty and staff member at Austin
Peay State University. It offers you a convenient, easy
and safe way to make purchases and utilize campus
services. Use your Govs Card as your only card on the
Austin Peay campus.

Declining balance accounts
Your Govs Card can be used as a declining balance card for
on-campus purchases. There are two separate accounts on
your Govs Card: Govs Bucks and Plus Dollars. Govs Bucks
can be deposited at the ADM (Automatic Deposit Machine)
in the Morgan University Center or in the Woodward
Library. Deposits may be made as often as needed. The
Automatic Deposit Machine (ADM) will accept $1, $5, $10,
or $20s. Deposited funds are available for immediate use.
Plus Dollars come with the purchase of a meal plan and
can be used at various campus meal locations. Plus Dollars
will transfer from the fall semester to the spring semester
only. Meals are only valid for the current semester they
were purchased.
Govs Bucks will remain active as long as you are a current
APSU student.
