Purpose
The purpose of this report is to appoint a member to the Oshawa Central Business District
Improvement Area Board of Management and Oshawa Environmental Advisory
Committee.

Recommendation
That the Corporate Services Committee recommend to City Council:
That in accordance with Report CORP-14-89 dated June 12, 2014, one applicant be
appointed to the Oshawa Central Business District Improvement Area Board of
Management and one applicant be appointed to the Oshawa Environmental Advisory
Committee for the term June 2014 to November 30, 2014.

Analysis
Staff advertised for citizen participation for the following appointments:
•
one owner/tenant member to fill a vacancy on the Oshawa Central Business District
Improvement Area Board of Management (D.O.B.O.M.) for the term June 2014 to
November 2014;
•
two students to fill the vacancies on the Oshawa Environmental Advisory
Committee for the term September 2014 to June 2015; and
•
one member to fill a vacancy on the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee for
the term June 2014 to November 30, 2014.
One application was received to fill the member vacancy on the DOBOM and one to fill the
vacancy on the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee and are attached for
Committee’s consideration.
No applications were received to fill the student vacancies on the Oshawa Environmental
Advisory Committee.
