● A minor in Sociology is available to students in all academic majors. The minor in Sociology
requires a total of 18 hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0
● Students are required to complete all Sociology courses with a "C" or better. Grades lower
than a C will not count in the completion of the minor.
Additional Information
● The Department of Sociology has a 3 attempt rule for all courses. Students may only attempt a
course 3 times; including Drop, Withdraw, and grade replacements of "D" or "F."

Sociology 1101 is a pre-/co-requisite for 3000/4000-level Sociology courses

At least THREE SOCY 3000/4000-level elective courses. Students may count Directed
Individual Study (SOCY 3895) and/or Internship (SOCY 4480) toward the electives
