Students will be getting a summer packet from their classroom teacher. Please contact me if you’d like to meet during the summer to get books for your child to read at home. Grade 1:Wow, we are at the end of another year already! My wish for you is that you and your child enjoy the summer and that reading is a big part of that! Remember that we have a great summer program in July and August.Please call the school if you are interested. Grades 2, 3 and 4: It is so hard to believe another school year has come to an end! Please keep your eyes open for a Summer Journal coming home with your child to complete during the summer for a prize in a the fall! Please make sure your child has returned all books to me by the last day of school. Have an amazing summer and keep on reading! Math: Kindergarteners, First Graders, Second Graders: Wow! Can you believe that this school year is coming to a close? It has been a great pleasure working with each of the students this year. We covered a lot of ground and made huge gains. I am very proud of all the efforts by each student. Summer packets will be sent home next week, so keep an eye open for them. Thank you for your continued support at home. Have a great summer!! Third and fourth graders: It’s been a great year! Students have worked hard in math and it is paying off! Summer packets will be going home next week, just to keep kids in the math groove this summer. There will be a prize in the fall for completed packets. Happy summer! Math: Mrs. Greenlaw Grade 5: This year has flown by! All 5th grade students have done an amazing job this year! Having your child practice math facts, long division and multiplication this summer will be a great help. Have a fantastic summer! It has been a pleasure meeting and working with your children. Thank you for all the support from home! Grade 6: I can’t believe the year has gone by so quickly! The sixth graders have worked hard this year. Please practice math facts, multiplication, division and fractions over the summer to keep your child sharp for seventh grade. Thank you for all the support from home! Enjoy the summer! Grade 7: Wow! What a year! The seventh graders have had a very busy year. They have worked very hard, and gained much responsibility for their own learning this year. Wishing you all a very happy summer! Having your student review geometry and algebra concepts over the summer will be very helpful! Grade 8: I can’t believe that the 8th grade year is over! The eighth graders have grown and achieved so much this year. I wish them all a very happy summer, and the very best in high school….they are ready :) Literacy: Mrs. Chadbourne The year is drawing to a close and I can’t believe it! Even though I have only been here a short time, I have really enjoyed getting to know my students and working with them. I will look forward to seeing the 5th, 6th, and 7th graders in the fall and wish the 8th graders the best of luck at FA. I know they will do well. I hope everyone enjoys their summer. Get some rest and relaxation in and hopefully enjoy some nice summer days with a great book. :)
