... General Manager,
Jimm Moody
In Louisville, Kentucky it is the sound of the
trumpets before the 11th race. In the Hebrew world
it will be Pesach Sheni, and in the some countries
it will simply be known as May Day. However
you may recognize the month of May it is a month
packed with truly amazing celebrations. Do you
think that Anna Jarvis knew in 1908 that it would
become a federal holiday in 1914? Did anyone
think that Decoration Day would become a federal
holiday in 1971 and why did it take so long?
Mother’s Day is a time that everyone should take a
few moments to remember and honor their Mother.
While Mothers should be honored 365 days a year,
it is the one day that they should not cook and
should be pampered and showered with love and
gifts. Everyone should take a few moments to call
and celebrate with their Mother.
Memorial Day is a sad time for those families that
have lost loved ones in the military. While my
father did not pass away while in military service; I
honor his memory every day and especially during
Memorial Day since he is buried in the National
Cemetery in Chattanooga. Please take a few
moments to remember those people in the military
that have fallen.
Panther Creek hopes that you will join us for
our Mother’s Day Celebration as we honor those
Mothers and Mothers-to-be with our spectacular
buffet. What a perfect opportunity to gather with
family and friends and honor those special ladies
in your life.
We are free today because so many have given
their lives to protect our freedom and our rights. At
Panther Creek our celebration will be on Sunday
evening, May 24th in the Clubhouse so that you can
enjoy the holiday weekend with your family and
friends before the crazy events of Memorial Day
Monday. We hope that you will join us for this
event filled weekend as we mark the Grand Opening
of the Aquatics Park with an adult event on Friday,
May 22nd and the opening of the Aquatics Park on
Saturday, May 23rd.
May 2nd marks the start of Saturday morning
breakfast in the Clubhouse and the “At the Turn
Grill.” We hope that you will join us for all of the
exciting events happening at Panther Creek during
the month of May.

As we begin the busy part of the golf season the golf shop is eager to service
all of your golf needs. Please remember Panther Creek takes tee time
reservations 7 days a week. Advance tee times allows the golf shop to plan
for your arrival and staff appropriately. The golf shop will remain open
until 7:00 PM daily, based on weather and scheduled tee times.
Friendly Reminders Regarding the Use of Private Carts
• Members are allowed to operate privately owned electric four-wheel
golf carts which meet the standards of the Club. All privately owned
golf carts must be factory model carts with headlights, taillights, brake
lights and a roof. Carts must be in good working order and physical
condition.
• Each year all privately owned golf carts must be registered with the
Golf Shop, must be inspected, and the owner must provide proof of
insurance. Each cart owner will be given a sticker that needs to be
placed on the windshield of the cart.
• Any person driving a privately owned cart on Club property must be at
least 16 years of age.
• Anyone who utilizes a privately owned cart and is not the owner of said
cart will pay the standard cart rate.
• Any member that has paid a trail fee and uses a club owned cart will be
charged the appropriate rental fee.
To ensure proper attire on the golf course and practice areas, Panther
Creek Country Club has adopted a Dress Code as follows:
1. Bathing suits, gym or jogging shorts are not considered acceptable.
2. Jagged or ribbed sole sport shoes may not be worn on the course or on
the practice area.
3. Golf shoes with soft spikes may be worn in the Golf Shop, the locker
rooms and lounges and in the informal dining area. All other areas of
the Clubhouse are restricted to non-spiked shoes.
4. Shirts for men must have sleeves and collars and must be worn at all
times on the golf course and practice area.
5. Walking shorts (hemmed) with an out seam of at least sixteen inches
are acceptable golf attire.
6. Halter or tank tops are considered improper attire for ladies.
7. Denim attire of any color, such as but not limited to jeans pants, skirts,
dresses, shirts or shorts, are not considered acceptable golf course
attire.
Members are responsible for the observance of these rules by their guests.
The Golf Shop and golf operations staff shall interpret and enforce the
Dress Code.

MOTHER’S DAY
BRUNCH
SUNDAY, MAY 10th
10AM - 2PM
RESERVATIONS
REQUIRED.
April showers bring May edible flowers
and sweet peas and Vidalia onions and
everything bright green and fresh! Our
spring menu is full of exciting new
options, as well as the favorites we have
all come to find comforting and familiar.
Here in the kitchen we are gearing up
to start the garden out back, and this
year we are going to do things a little
different. We will be setting up a day to
have a garden planting party that all of
our younger members are invited to be
a part of. As soon as the market opens
up we will be grabbing an assortment of
different herbs, lettuces, and veggies to
plant. Each child will also be able to pick
one of these to put into a small pot to
take home and take care of as well. On
the subject of the market I will be setting
up a day for a small amount of members
to attend the downtown Farmer’s Market
with me as I will introduce the farmers
which I buy from and explain some of
the more exotic fruits and veggies uses.
Be on the lookout for these dates as I am
sure they will arrive quickly and fill up
just as fast. Hope to see everyone soon.
Happy dining!!
