Teachers: Thank you for your interest in my materials. This sample is great for using with literacy centers and small, guided groups. It helps to reinforce figurative language. Copy onto card, laminate and cut out the color coded cards. Blue has more challenging text than pink. You may also be interested in my Poetry Writers workshops. These are weeklong lesson plans with hands on, interactive activities that engage the children. The focus is on one particular thing (sunflowers, springtime) and looks into figurative language, descriptive writing and forms of poetry. The kids love the crafts too! You can find these in my stores: TpT and Teacher’s Notebook. Please let me know what you think of my work once you get a chance to use it. You can find more ideas and FREEBIES on my blog at www.coolteachingtools.blogspot.com or find me on Facebook at Cool Teaching Tools.
