Core Virtue of the Month: “Courage”
Courage is:
• Doing what is right in the face
of fear
• Courage is moving beyond fear
• Courage is finding the strength
to venture and persevere
Expected School-wide Learning Results number three is that our students would be “problem solvers”.
As problem solvers, our students are able to:
• Face challenges and persevere in attaining realistic goals
• Resolve conflict peacefully, Biblically and seeking further assistance elsewhere as necessary
• Solve problems through observation, research and discovery
• Respond appropriately to unexpected circumstances, danger or difficult situations
This year the SPLS Staff is praying specifically for our students and their families. Each week we draw
the names of five students from a prayer box and pray for them over the course of the week. Here is this
week’s student list:
Max (3’s); Joan (4’s); Pricilla (K); Aaron (1st) and Kaidence (4th)

National Lutheran Schools Week Update:
National Lutheran Schools Week
provides our network of nearly 2,300
LCMS preschools, elementary schools
and high schools with the public
opportunity to proclaim and celebrate
God’s work among us in Lutheran
schools. We thank God for the
opportunity to provide excellent
academic preparation for the children
we serve. We are most grateful for the
opportunity to share Jesus’ amazing
love with children and their families.
NLSW gives us an opportunity to
proclaim these great blessings within
the communities we serve.
