Issue 1
Do you have a sweet tooth?
By: Manel
We agreed that there is nothing better than sweets. Do
you agree? Manel has gone around the world and
sampled some famous desserts. Here is her top 5
picks…
5. Castle Pudding from England
The pudding is not the best
part of this dessert; it is the strawberry
jam that falls down the sides of the pudding.
4. Pavlova from New Zealand and Australia
It is made from egg whites and sugar the
outside of the meringue shell will be
crunchy.
3. Baklava from Turkey
Togo in Africa
By: Oceane
Togo is in West Africa. The capital of Togo is Lomé. In
Lomé there is a population of 1 477 660 people. It is two
times smaller than Dubaï. In Togo the houses are
different because they are smaller. If you want to buy
some water you can buy it from street vendors outside.
The official language is French but people speak other
languages such as Mina which is used in the South of the
country. Togo has a tropical climate. Togo is near the
Atlantic Ocean with a lot of beautiful beaches.
Honey, sugar, lemon juice, and orange
water are used to make syrup, which
is poured over layers of phyllo dough
and melted butter.
2. Chestnut Kinton from Japan
This nut is from a chestnut
tree that is only found in Japan and
South Korea. Very sweet and savory!
1.Gulaab Jamun from India
These are similar to the donut holes
in the United States but instead
of powdered sugar, sweet syrup
is drizzled onto the soft dough.
We want to hear from you…

interview another APS and get some
information about why the students chose
this specific activity.

and gems.
Q: What sort of activities have you done so far?
A: We have made crowns, magic wands and jewelry.
Q: What sort of activities would you like to try?
Cheetahs
By: Alexandra
Cheetahs are carnivorous (eating meat) animals. They are
part of the big cat family. Cheetahs are the fastest animal
in the world! They can reach a top speed of around 113km
per hour. They have a small head which is not very heavy
making it easy for them to run faster than other big cats.
They only need to drink once every three to four days.
Cheetahs can be found mainly in Africa and Asia. Their
babies are very sacred because other animals eat them. The
cheetahs are hard to see because it is spotted and it blends
with the tall dry grass of the plains. Cheetahs can see in the
dark. They eat small to medium size animals such as impala
and gazelles. Cheetahs are in danger because people kill
them for their fur so it is important that we try and
protect them.
A: We love our activity right now and would like to
continue making more Princess crafts.
Q: If you were a princess which princess would
you be?
A: Elsa and Anna from Frozen, Pocahontas,
Cinderalla, Aliénor d'Aquitaine.

Recently I watched the Goosebumps movie. I
thought it was so cool! It is about a boy named Zach
Cooper who comes from a big city to live in a small
town. He meets a girl named Hannah who is the
daughter of the mysterious R.L Stine. He is the
author of the book “Goosebumps”. Zach accidently
found a book and opened it up which let some
monsters out. The two children try to catch the
monsters and put them back into the book.
I give this Movie a Rating of: 10 /10
