Mitsubishi Electric Power Products’ Diamond Vision® Systems Division installed an ODT10 Surface Mounted Device (SMD) display at the south end of the stadium, and an ODX8 screen at the north end. The new ODT10 display will be the highest pixel density display in the NFL stadium market. The new video boards are the same size and layout as the previous boards: in the north end, approximately 44 feet wide by 50 feet high and in the south end, approximately 84 feet wide by 24 feet high. “Mitsubishi Electric Power Products’ Diamond Vision is again part of another industry and NFL first,” said Todd Stih, Diamond Vision national sales manager. “Our advanced ODT10 and X8 LED products are fulfilling the vision that the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC have for their stadium and fans” The X8 display is the most advanced lamp-based LED product produced by Mitsubishi Electric and pushes the boundaries of LED technology. It provides ultra wide viewing angles, a high LED fill ratio and high contrast compared to other products, with the lowest power consumption yet. “Seahawks and Sounders FC fans will see enhanced clarity and color on the new video boards at CenturyLink Field,” said Seahawks and Sounders FC President Peter McLoughlin. “The upgrade in technology reinforces our commitment to provide the best possible game day experience and amenities for our fans.” Other Diamond Vision Milestones 1980: First large-scale display boards for MLB’s All-Star game at Dodgers Stadium 2003: Guinness World Record for World’s Longest Video Display for the Hong Kong Jockey Club Automotive Electronics Cooling & Heating Display Wall Systems & LCD Digital Signage Elevators Escalators Factory Automation High-Definition Home Theater Jet Towel Hand Dryers LED Video Displays Ozone Water Systems Power Transmission & Distribution Products Projectors Rail Propulsion & HVAC Semiconductors Solar Panels Uninterruptible Power Supplies 2004: Largest interior video display in North America, 34-feet by 110-feet, at Caesars Palace Colosseum 2005: Guinness World Record for World’s Largest High-Definition Screen in a professional stadium, Turner Field, Atlanta 2006: JRA Tokyo Horserace Course took the Guinness designation of World’s Largest Display 2009 Cowboys Stadium claimed Guinness World Record for Largest High-Definition Video Display National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award in the Pioneering Development of Large-Venue, Large-Screen Direct View Color Video Displays category.
