Inclusivity 2020 launch - Bristol's mayor on campus
We want to ensure that equality and diversity are embedded
in everything we do at UWE Bristol – that's why we're
launching a new single equality scheme (called Inclusivity
2020).
Find out what the scheme means for you at our launch event
on Wednesday 9 November, 12:30 – 14:30 on Frenchay
Campus. We'll have speakers including Bristol's Mayor, Marvin
Rees. Buffet lunch provided.

Take on our Apprentice challenge
How much profit could you make with a £20 loan in one week?
Take part in our Global Entrepreneurship Week Apprentice challenge between Friday
11 November – Friday 18 November, run in partnership with Samsung.
You'll have to get a team together, create a 30 second advert and try to make as much
money as possible. There will be prizes for the team who makes the most money – and
you'll get to keep the profits.

Festival of Leadership
Join us at our inaugural Festival of Leadership to explore the nature, purpose and
consequences of leadership (good and bad) in contemporary society.
The festival will be launched on Thursday 17 November from 17:30, and run all day
on Friday 18 November. As a UWE Bristol student you'll get 50% off the standard price - just
make sure you buy your tickets from our online store.

Design our digital Christmas card
Feeling creative? We're looking for someone to design the official UWE Bristol Christmas card,
which will be sent out electronically to all our supporters across the world.
If you win you'll receive a £300 prize, and four runners up will win £50 each. Make sure you
submit your entry by 23:00 on Friday 11 November 2016.
You'll have a chance to vote for the winner on the UWE Bristol Facebook page later in
November.

The future of nuclear
On Wednesday 9 November, Lady Barbara Judge CBE is
coming to Frenchay Campus to give a talk on the future of
nuclear power.
It's all part of our Bristol Distinguished Address Series, which
brings senior business leaders in the region to UWE Bristol.
The talk is free and all students are welcome.

One of our students, Thom Gray, is doing a talk about asexuality in conjunction with

We are looking for 18-30 year old women to take part in a body image research programme
that aims to improve the way young women feel about their physical appearance.
The programme is entirely online, and you'll receive a £10 gift voucher or 2.5 research credits
for taking part.

Glenside and Gloucester:
You're invited to take part in a mass emergency simulation
day
As one of our health care students, you're invited to take part in a simulation exercise for a
mass emergency!
It's being hosted by the UK's emergency medical response teams and will be a great
opportunity to learn about mass casualty management and to experience life as a patient.
It's booked for Sunday 11 December - places are limited so book early if you're interested.
Travel and refreshments will be provided.
