Hierarchy of Bishops (High Anglican)
• Ceremonies – Book of Common Prayer ommitted Black Rubric
of 1552, which denied the Real presence of Christ. Words =
more ambigious. Restoration of Saints’ Days
• Appearances – Catholic vestements at Communion. Black and
white surplice for other services. Ornamentation as of
(moderate) 1549 PB; NOT 1552.
• Head of Church – No papal supremacy. Liz became the
Supreme Governor (woman) of the C of E.
