Business challenges
Time is money, especially in the construction industry. Completing projects on time and within budget
has become even more challenging with the increase in project complexity and the number of
specialist designers involved.
Design teams are becoming much more dependent on the model for design, pre-construction and
construction activities. This might lead to possible bottlenecks since more parties need access to the
model in the office and in the field. With teams becoming more comfortable with 3D models and clash
detection, they want immediate access to these models to manage clashes on their own without
having to wait for approval from the central model manager.
Due to these challenges, too much time is wasted on multidiscipline collaboration which might lead
to costly rework in the field.

Connected BIM for the entire team
To ensure the entire project team has easy access to a single coordinated model, BIM 360™ Glue®
provides all project stakeholders with one-click access to the project BIM data. Data can be accessed
securely virtually anytime, anywhere improving team communication and decision making.
Project members can review and annotate models and notifications can be sent to the relevant
parties. Specific model views and shared markups can then be accessed directly from notifications.
Measurement between model objects are made possible with intuitive point-to-point tools and object
snapping. XYZ differences and the shortest distance between objects are automatically calculated.

Transforming BIM coordination
BIM 360™ Glue® makes BIM accessible to everyone on the project team and will help streamline
project review workflows. With powerful clash detection tools, team members can identify and
resolve conflicts more effectively, before and during construction.
Because BIM 360™ Glue® is cloud-based, the most up to date multidisciplinary project models and
data can be reviewed from virtually anywhere. Any problems encountered during the review stage
can be communicated to the entire team by sending notifications, which can prevent costly rework
on site.
Mobile access and review
BIM 360™ Glue® offers an immersive mobile experience. With the BIM 360™ Glue® iPad application,
team members can intuitively explore multidisciplinary BIM projects in the field, online or offline.
With the mobile app, team members can:

Navigate through saved views, measure distances and access intelligent object properties.
Navigate using intuitive gesture-based pan, zoom, and orbit tools.
Walk through the model with gravity-assisted navigation optimised for BIM.
Select, hide and reveal individual discipline models and objects.
Measure between model objects with intuitive point-to-point tools and object snapping.
Automatically calculate XYZ differences and the shortest distance between objects.

Navisworks integration
Coordinated BIM 360™ Glue® models can be loaded directly into Autodesk® Navisworks® Manage for
4D animated timelines, model-based quantification, and other advanced analysis. Coordinated models
from Navisworks® Manage can also be published to BIM 360™ Glue® to provide one-click-to-BIM
access for the entire team.
Design tool integration
With more than 50 file formats, BIM 360™ Glue® helps to simplify multidisciplinary BIM coordination
workflows by minimising file format complexity and compatibility issues. Simply drag and drop models
to add them to your BIM 360™ Glue® project. Model versions are automatically managed.
Users can upload the latest 3D model views directly from Revit, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
software.
