Instruction - How to export text files from online banking for import into Excel 1. To export information from online banking dialogs click on Export at the bottom of the screen. 2. The following screen will be shown: Under Selection choose which values from the previous screen that you would like to export. Also select the appropriate Delimiter. Then click on Export. 1(7) 3. You will then be asked if you wish to Open or Save the file. It will be downloaded as a text file (type of file: text document). Click on Save. 4. When you have clicked on Save the following screen will be shown. Select where you want to save the file and click on Save. The file will be saved as a Text document. 2(7) 5. The following download complete screen will be shown: Click on Close. 6. Open Excel. Go in to File – Open. Before you search for the saved file, select All files under Files of type at the bottom of the Excel screen which is shown when you go into Open. Find the saved file and double click on it. 3(7) 7. The following screen will be shown. Select Delimited and at File Origin: Windows (ANSI) (which is normal when the national settings are for Sweden.) If you want the headings to be shown over all columns in Excel, select “Start import at row 1”. If you don’t want the headings to be shown over all columns in Excel, select: ”Start import at row” 2. Click on Next. 4(7) 8. The following screen will be shown. Mark here the delimiter you have selected (none of the other fields under Delimiters must be filled in). Then click on Next. 9. Mark the account number column, then select Text under Column data format. If this is not done there is a risk that some account numbers will not look correct in the Excel spreadsheet. Click on Finish. 5(7) 10.The following screen will be shown. Some of the columns can show incorrect value, for example ######. To adjust to the correct width click the Select All button and then double- click any boundary between two columns. When the columns are adjusted they look like this: 6(7) 11.Then save the file as an Excel file. Select “File – Save as” and select Excel file under Save as type at the bottom of the screen. You decide what you want to call the file. After saving the file in Excel you can work with the document as you wish. 7(7)
