IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES
FOR EVENTS LISTED IN THIS BOOKLET
Lodgement of Entries & Payment of Fees
Entries will not be accepted at Golf Queensland for any event unless
accompanied by the applicable entry fee. Payment may be made by
cheque or credit card. A form for credit card details can be found at the
back of this booklet. Please photocopy as required and attach to entry
forms. Online entry will also be available.- www.golfqueensland.org.au
International Bowl
This event is played in three divisions in conjunction with three stroke
rounds in your Club competition, during the months of June and July. An
entry fee is applicable to each participant at Club level, and this allows
the player to return a card on each of the programmed days. The lowest
single nett score in relation to the DSR of the course on the day determines
the winner in each Division. The winner of each Division at Club level
receives an International Bowl Brooch. (Read conditions of Play under
International Bowl Competition.) Copies of scorecards must be provided
when forwarding final details to Golf Queensland.
Proceeds from the International Bowl will be donated to the Qld Golf
Foundation. The Qld Golf Foundation, the fundraising arm of Golf
Queensland, works to increase the number of people playing golf in
Queensland through implementing new programs and initiatives for
children, women and in clubs. The proceeds from the International Bowl will
help the Foundation provide even more opportunity for people in
Queensland to play our great game.
Qld Golf Foundation Brooch
This event is played in 3 divisions over 6 stroke rounds, as arranged by
Clubs. An entry fee is applicable. As the event has a closing date of 11
September 2017, it is advisable to complete this event in the month prior. It
is suggested that this event be played in conjunction with your Club’s
Monthly Medal rounds from March to August. The winner of each division
at Club level receives a Queensland Golf Foundation Brooch, and this is
determined by calculating which player has returned the best three nett
scores over the period. Best nett is determined in relation to the DSR.
(Read Conditions of Play under Qld Golf Foundation Brooch). Scorecards
are now not required as fees have been increased slightly to allow all ties to
be awarded joint winners.

Gertrude McLeod Competition
This event is played at Club level (no entry fee required) over the period 1
March to 31 August. Scores recorded in STROKE ROUNDS ONLY are
eligible. The winner of each division is determined by calculating which
player has returned the best three nett scores over the period. Best nett is
determined in relation to the DSR.
After scores have been collated and the form returned to Golf Queensland,
a State winner in each Division is determined. Entries close at Golf
Queensland on 11 September 2017. These winners are usually announced
at the winner’s event held annually for those ladies who have won their
division at Club level. Scorecards are now not required as fees have been
increased slightly to allow all ties to be awarded joint winners.
Gertrude McLeod Winners Event
Please Note:
This is an optional event, and if your Club Division winners wish to play, the
Club must complete the separate entry form, pay the entry fees, and
forward to Golf Queensland BEFORE the closing date (11 September 2017)
for this event.
Only Club Winners are eligible for this event. No substitutions
accepted.
