2014 BANDON DUNES CHAMPIONSHIP
March 9-11 - Pacific Dunes Course - Bandon, Ore.
THE EVENT: The Gonzaga University men’s golf team will host the 15-team Bandon Dunes Championship March 9-11 at Pacific Dunes
Course on the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore. This marks the fi h year the Bulldogs have hosted the Bandon Dunes
Championship; where they u lize a different course each year.
THE COURSE: Currently there are four courses on site at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort: Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails
and Old Macdonald. This year’s Bandon Dunes Championship will take place at the Pacific Dunes Course. All four courses are ranked
in Golfweek’s 2014 Best Resort Courses. This year’s course Pacific Dunes is #1, Old MacDonald is #5, Bandon Dunes in #6 and Bandon
Trails is #11. Pacific Dunes Course is a Par 71 and 6,603-yards.
THE LOWDOWN: This year’s Bandon Dunes Championship field includes 15 teams of five players and nine individuals for a tournament field of 84 players. Play will consist of 54 holes, contested over three days, beginning Sunday, March 9 and ending Tuesday,
March 11. Team scoring will consist of coun ng the four best scores of each five-man team.
THE FIELD: Teams par cipa ng in the 2014 Bandon Dunes Championship are: Boston College, University of Colorado, Gonzaga
University, University of Missouri, University of Oregon, University of the Pacific, Rice University, Saint Mary’s College, San Jose State
University, UC Davis, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Utah Valley University, University of Washington, Washington State University and Weber State University.
