AutoCorrect Exceptions dialog box 5 Customize AutoCorrect - continued You can add words you commonly misspell and/or typographical errors you often make to AutoCorrect. For example, if you consistently type relavent instead of relevant, you can add relavent to AutoCorrect and tell it to correct it as relevant. The AutoCorrect dialog box contains a few symbols you can insert in a document. For example, type (c) and AutoCorrect changes the text to ©. Type (r) and AutoCorrect changes the text to ®. The symbols display at the beginning of the AutoCorrect dialog box list box. © Paradigm Publishing, Inc. 6 Customize AutoCorrect - continued To add a word to AutoCorrect: 1. Click FILE tab. 2. Click Options. 3. Click Proofing in left panel. 4. Click AutoCorrect Options button. 5. Click AutoCorrect tab. 6. Type misspelled or abbreviated word. 7. Press Tab. 8. Type correctly spelled word or complete word. 9. Click Add button. 10. Move the mouse pointer to this blue box and the AutoCorrect Options button displays.
