INTRODUCTION
The Satanic Star is a well known symbol in the occult world. It is sometimes referred to as the “goat’s
head” as it visually depicts the horns, ears and beard of a goat. This theme has been frequently used by
satanic recording artists and groups on their album covers and tee-shirts. (Note that this is an inverted star,
not to be confused with a pentagram or witch’s star, see the diagram.)
However, in the spirit world, the satanic star points to a literal diabolic assault against the true Church in
all its facets. In Matthew 25, Jesus contrasts “the sheep and the goats” whereas the goats were the ungodly
unsaved (the enemies of God), and the sheep were His own flock (the redeemed). It is not surprising that
the satanists have picked up on this theme and carried it even further for their own purposes. At the same
time, by this hellish omen they have perverted the number five which has always portrayed God’s grace.
Until now, the Church’s ignorance of this massive conspiracy has rendered us incapable of fighting
effectively against it and defeating it. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….” (Hos. 4:6)
While spiritual warfare is only one aspect of our daily prayer life and walk, it is nevertheless a crucial one
(Eph. 6:10-18); yet it is all too often neglected for other less significant preoccupation. We pray this
information will serve to awaken and activate the Church.
ABSTRACT OF THE FIVE-FOLD ATTACK
The “Five-Fold Attack” is one of Satan’s most powerful conspiracies, a cunning attack against each and
every Christian and the entire Body of Christ. Satan, the arch enemy of Christ and His Church, will carry
out this organized assault at every opportunity by strategically assigning it against individual Christians,
families and local churches or ministries, as well as territorial domains such as cities, counties, statesprovinces, nations, etc. And just as there are examples in Scripture of specific territory being assigned to
God’s angelic beings (chapters 2 & 3 of Revelation), so also conversely are there specific regions that
have been invaded and ruled by satanic principalities (Dan. 10:20). Thus, the scope of this revelation
potentially has worldwide significance.
The configuration of this onslaught is represented in the Satanic Star which has five strongholds
characterized by each of its five points. Each exemplifies a position held by a ruling demonic spirit. The
Pentagon at the heart of the star is the power source and core of their unity and purpose, it is the center of
deceit where every evil abounds.
The nadir of the star (the central point at the base) represents the strongest thrust of the attack for any
given situation. It should be noted that the particular arrangement of the spirits in the star will vary from
person to person and place to place. The distinctive anointings, calling and destiny of an individual,
family, local church or ministry (and even that of a city or nation, etc.) determines which of the five ruling
spirits will control the nadir for any given affair. For the sake of brevity, we will simply refer to the
recipient of this attack as "person” in the information that follows.

THE REVELATION OF THE ATTACK
The initial revelation of this offensive was given to the Gospel Revelation Ministries team in the form of a
vision while in prayer during a ministry trip in 1990. In the vision, as depicted in the diagram, the
inverted star had a light on each point and was surrounded by the conventional circle. The star was
rotating periodically, coming to rest on different points at the base. The whole team could feel the
resistance in prayer and purpose, and sensed that there was a major offensive being directed against the
people of that area in the spiritual realm.
As a result of intense spiritual warfare, the star disappeared briefly and then returned again. However, this
time the points were in disarray without any uniformity or order, and were seemingly weaker in their
attack as a direct result of our warring in prayer. Through more prayer, a portion of the revelation and
identification of the elements of this attack were disclosed to us. Soon after, greater revelation and
understanding followed until the information contained herein was written.
We are certain that this is only the “tip of the iceberg” and that much more knowledge and discernment
will be forthcoming regarding this attack against the Church. It is our desire to see the whole Church
armed with truth and victorious in every respect, ready for Christ’s imminent return. (Please refer to the
diagram at the back of the book throughout this treatise.)
THE PYTHON SPIRIT
The covert scheme of this assignment comes insidiously through the python spirit who symbolically
forms the circle around the satanic star and is cloaked in deception. Python is a constricting, dyslexic
spirit who operates in spiritual lies and divination, causing things to be perceived backwards or
misconstrued. Its function around the star is to organize and hold the five spirits in formation while
increasing the effectiveness of their attack. As the strategy of the assault intensifies, python “swallows
up” the person, causing dyslexia, distortion and confusion (see the illustration), attempting to weaken
their defense.
This spirit will literally choke the life, through constriction, out of the Body of Christ. There is a
parallelism between the python snake and this spirit which bears its name. Just as the snake tightens a
little more around its victim each time it exhales, so the python spirit will possess more and more ground
any time we spiritually “exhale”, that is, when we give up ground by drawing back into passivity.
(Remember also that wind and air are symbolic of the Holy Spirit in scripture.)
THE STAR
The five principalities are represented by each of the five points on the star, each having a specific
assignment against the “five-fold ministries” of the Church (Eph. 4:11-12) and each of their
corresponding anointings in the Body of Christ. Thus, Satan has set into motion a strategic attack against
those who are called to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in an attempt to
(1) swallow up or abort the work of each of these ministries,
(2) rob this, the ministry of Christ, from the Church and the world,
(3) weaken and diminish the parallel anointings and gifts of the spirit, and
(4) prevent the Body of Christ from fulfilling its calling and destiny (Mat. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18).|

The points of the star (which will vary in arrangement depending on their target), and their corresponding
ministry attack, are as follows:
Abaddon attacks the Apostle (the apostolic anointing)
Abaddon (Rev. 9:11) is the ruling prince that brings in violence, rage and jealousy, and instigates “church
wars” between local churches or denominations as a whole.
The apostle is the one who births, fathers and nurtures young churches, and may move at times in any of
the other five-fold anointings as necessary (examples: Paul and Peter in the Book of Acts and in their
respective epistles).
Jezebel attacks the Prophet (and prophetic anointing).
Jezebel is a general in Satan’s ranks who operates through manipulation, domination, intimidation and
seduction for the purpose of control. The spirit of Jezebel is not female, per se – it is a spirit, and will
attack or use men and women alike. Jezebel’s primary assignment is to destroy prophets and true
prophecy (examples: Elijah in 1 Kings 18:4, 19:1-4); and John the Baptist in Matt. 14:1-12). This
beguiling spirit eventually will usher in divination, witchcraft, the occult and ultimately death. Jezebel
gains power through enticement, ingratiation, false prophecy and false spiritual gifts (I Kings 21:5-25; II
Kings 9:22, 30-37; Rev. 2:20).
The prophet “sees” for the church, bringing forth revelation, vision, direction and repentance through
prophetic words and deeds, edification, exhortation and comfort (Acts 1:27-28, 15:32; 21:10-11; 1 Cor.
14:3, 29-33; Luke 3:2-18).
Black Magic attacks the Evangelist (and evangelism)
The ruling prince over divination, witchcraft and necromancy is Black Magic. I functions through sorery
and counterfeit gifts (Ex. 7:8-13; Acts 8:9-11; 13:8) in an effort to keep the true gifts from coming forth,
and in the end it breeds destruction.
The evangelist operates in the power gifts (signs, wonders and healing), stirs up evangelism gifts in the
church, and ministers salvation to the lost (Acts 8:12-13; Rom. 10:14-15; Eph. 4:12).
Modebel attacks the Pastor (and true shepherding).
The spirit of Modebel instigates strife and contention, separates families and marriages and brings
division into the Church, usually operating out of a root of pride.
The pastor carries the responsibility of ministering to the sheep (through the local church) primarily
through relationships, and through the Word as well (Luke 15:4-6, John 10:2-5, 11-15; Jer. 3:15, 23:1-4).
Leviathan attacks the Teacher (and the teaching anointing).
Leviathan operates in the soul, and keeps people from receiving the things of God. We believe that
Leviathan will cause mankind to take the mark of the beast (Rev. 13:16-17), since the strength of this
spirit is in its ability to deceive and steal the shewbread which represents divine revelation and the Word
of God (Job 41; Isa 27:1).

THE FORMATION
As was stated earlier, the nadir of the star (the central point at the base) represents the foremost strategy of
the attack against a person. The two closest points on either side of the nadir (the next level up) depict the
secondary level of the attack. Together these three make up the chief thrust of this invasion. The two
remaining points at the top of the star portray a third-level maneuver and, having less strength than the
primary triad, serve in a supportive role. (Refer to the diagram to see the three levels.)
However, we have seen this organized strategy against a person change from time to time, in that the
spirits will transpose or rotate into a different formation, changing their scheme and tactics (similar to
their tactics observed in the vision described earlier). The purpose in this is to cause confusion and keep
the unaware from gaining victory through spiritual understanding and warfare. It should be noted here
that although spirits normally compete for the upper hand in most situations, these five spirits will work
together in unity to achieve their goal to steal, kill and destroy the work of the five-fold ministry and their
parallel giftings.
We have stated that the pentagon in the heart of the star is the power source and core of the unity and
purpose of the five-fold attack. In occult rituals, the pentagon is where the satanist places the person to be
sacrificed, a symbolic display of their goal for the Church and the five-fold ministry of Jesus Christ, who
is the Chief Apostle, Chief Prophet, Chief Evangelist, Chief Shepherd and Chief Teacher in the Church.
HOW TO BREAK THE ATTACK
Jesus Christ has already provided everything we need to ensure victory over this particular satanic
incursion. But it should first be determined which of the five principalities is strongest in the attack at
and, as represented by the nadir of the star. The offensive against five-fold ministry offices is easiest to
distinguish based upon the primary spirit assigned to that ministry. However, practically and throughout
scripture, a person with a five-fold anointing will usually have a secondary anointing as well, such as a
pastor-evangelist or prophet-teacher. (The only exception seems to be the apostle who will often operate
in all of the other four offices at times as needed.) This secondary anointing will most likely coincide with
a second-level attack which may also alternate as the primary attack periodically.
For persons who have not been called into or set into a five-fold office, determining your particular
parallel anointing to a five-fold office or your spiritual gifts (I Cor. 12) or your spiritual destiny will be
helpful in discerning the strategy of the enemy. Or, simply looking at the functions of each of the five
spirits should also give you a clue, based upon what activity is going on in the immediate circumstances –
for example: Modebel brings in strife and division, Abaddon rules over violence, rage, jealousy and
“church wars”, Jezebel functions in control and seduction; and so on. It shouldn’t be too difficult to
identify the particular battle at hand and initiate a counter-attack. Of course, this same method can be
applied for churches, ministries and territorial domains (cities, nations, etc.).
Once you have determined the chief thrust and formation of the attack, you may follow these steps to
thwart it:
BREAK PYTHON’S POWER and “cut off his head” (symbolizing his authority) with the Sword of the
Spirit (Eph. 6:17), chopping him in pieces. Speaking the words with faith and conviction will prompt the
Holy Spirit to move in power, destroying Python’s hold and releasing the person under attack (Luke
10:19; I John 3:8b).
BREAK THE POWER OF THE PRIMARY SPIRIT represented in the nadir of the star (which may
vary in any given day or situation), canceling its assignments and nullifying the effects, applying the

Blood of Jesus to destroy its power (Luke 10:19; Eph. 9:10-18). Do the same for the second and thirdlevels of attack as well, canceling their assignments.
SPEAK DESTRUCTION TO THE PENTAGON (II Cor. 10:3-5) through the knowledge of the truth
of God’s Word which sets you free (John 8:31—32), commanding its walls to come down in Jesus’
authority.
Repeat these three steps with vigor until you receive peace and begin to see the results. This battle may
need to be waged on a daily basis, or even more often if necessary. Don’t be weary (Gal. 6:9; Isa. 40:31)
– be relentless to crush the enemy under your feet (Luke 10:19); Rom. 16:20). It should be noted here that
breaking this attack is not a substitute for the individual breaking of curses and/or deliverance in a person,
even a Christian. Rather, this undertaking is simply gaining the upper hand in yet one more onslaught of
the enemy.
If the attack is against a marriage, family, church or ministry, it will be more effective to fight together
against it, continuing separately as you are apart. Similarly, if it is against a city, county, state/province or
nation, the counter-attack will have much more power and effect if as many churches as possible would
come together in one accord in spiritual warfare for the given area that is represented by those present as
often as possible, and then again continue the fight individually (and in small groups) throughout the days
and weeks or months to come. Of course, as individuals and families gain their own personal victories,
overcoming the larger attacks becomes quicker and easier.
RESULTS OF BREAKING THE ATTACK
There will be very noticeable results if you persevere in breaking this attack:
(1) There will be a loosing of the power of the Holy Spirit made evident through increased miracles,
healings prophecy, evangelism, revelation, as well as relationships (that is, all the five-fold
anointings, plus revival in the church).
(2) The person, family, church or ministry will experience a new freedom, and if a number of churches
band together in persistent warfare, the stranglehold on a city, county, state/province or even a nation
will be broken.
(3) There will be a release of praise and worship to new heights, and a release of the gifts of the Spirit
and the five-fold ministry within and especially outside of the church meetings.
SUMMARY
The “Five-Fold Attack” against the Church epitomized in the satanic star is yet another reminder of the
finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. I John 4:4 says, “You…have overcome them; because greater is
He who is in you than he who is in the world.” And II Corinthians 4:4 says, “For the weapons of our
warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.”
Remember that our battle is not against people, but rather against the “prince of darkness” and his forces
(Eph. 6:12). In the last days, God is no longer calling forth superstar ministers and one-man shows.
Rather, He is declaring that His whole Church must rise up in victory – individually, one by one – and
come forth to do the greater works that Jesus spoke about through His power (John 14:12-14). Be diligent
to overcome this attack; first, consistently in your own life, then in your family, then together with your
church, and finally, in your city and nation with other churches as the Holy Spirit guides you into the truth
which will set you free!

UPDATE ON THE SATANIC STAR
THE DOCTRINE OF THE NICOLAITANS
Between April and June of 1993, more revelation was received regarding the satanic star, in that, it
appears to be as the head of a comet in motion. Surrounding the star and the funneled tail is the Python
spirit, bringing confusion, mixed and false communication, dyslexia, etc. this strategically works to create
a camouflage and avoid detection. In the vision, the Lord revealed that hidden within the cylindrically
shaped tail of the symbolic comet-like star is the Nicolaitan Spirit, which has brought the doctrine of the
Nicolaitans mentioned in Revelation 2:6 and 15, which the Lord plainly says He hates!
The word “Nicolaitan” comes from two Greek words (nike and laos) which together mean “victory over
the people” (Strong’s) or “conquering the Laity” (The Spirit-Filled Life Bible), the strong connotation
being one who rules over the people in their charge by force. In contrast, the scriptural model is that those
who are in church leadership must not dominate and rule by force, but rather lead by example, “…not
lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock” (I Pet. 5:2-3).
Historically, the Nicolaitans were a religious sect who were typified by their view of clerical rule and the
separation of the clergy (church leadership) from the laity (the common people). This view was also
prevalent under papal rule, the foundation of the Roman Catholic religion. The Nicolaitans were religious,
bigoted and prideful of their spiritual prowess. They held their women in common and were also noted for
their spirit of condemnation, guilt, and thus, false repentance. An analogy of this would be the early
Roman Catholic church and their practices of self-flagellation and deprivation as a work of compensation
for their sins, totally denying the work of the cross. As the spirit enters its host through the religious spirit
and fear spirit, it begins to pave the way for the entrance of the Prince of Persia.
In the revelation that was received, the Lord clearly used the word “host” to describe the vessel carrying
the spirit. Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary describes host as “a stranger, an enemy, a person delivered to
the enemy or hostile power, a victim to secure the performance of the conditions of a treaty or stipulation
of any kind (strategy), and on the performance of which the person is to be released.” Because ultimately
the Nicolaitan spirit is ambitious, the Lord revealed that as this spirit allows entrance of the Prince of
Persia and the transfer from one host to another, the need for the previous host is no longer desired which
could result in destruction of that host (according to the need to transfer from a host with influence to one
with higher influence).
Unfortunately, the doctrine of the Nicolaitans has crept into the present day Church in a Trojan horse of
“discipleship” and “shepherding.” Although those involved in this teaching are well-meaning, the
Nicolaitan doctrine has consequently brought many under its bondage and control unaware. Let’s look
more closely at this pernicious doctrine.
CONTROL VS. SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, keep standing firm, and do not be subject again to a
yoke of slavery….for you have been called to freedom, not as an opportunity for the flesh, but through
love serve one another.” (Gal. 5:1, 13)

As we minister to literally hundreds from the Body of Christ year after year, there has been one prevailing
issue: How do we, as believers, distinguish true spiritual authority from fear-generated control, that is, the
doctrine of the Nicolaitans? We must first examine the definitions.
Authority, as defined by Webster’s 1828 Dictionary, is “power derived through respect or esteem or
influence of character.” Spiritual, also defined by Webster, is “pertaining to spirit or renewed nature of
man.” So putting these together, we see that spiritual authority means power derived through respect or
esteem or influence of character, pertaining to the spirit or renewed nature of man. In I Samuel 23:2, the
Word says, “The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘He that rules over men must be just,
ruling in the fear of God.’”
Control, defined by Webster, is “that which restrains; to overpower, to have under command, to have
superior force.” Fear is defined as “a painful emotion excited by an expectation of evil.” To generate
means “to cause to be; produce.” So, fear-generated control is restraint or force caused by an expectation
of evil. This results in slavery.
It is important to know the distinctive difference between legitimate or genuine authority, and illegitimate
or false authority, i.e.: control. (The meaning of a word often lies within the word itself – e.g.: “author” is
the root of “authority,” This tells us the source of authority is God, the Author of all things.) Genuine
authority is administered under the Genuine Author with meekness, sincere concern and unselfish
servant-oriented motivation. False authority is administered through a motivation of fear that needs to be
in control, or one of intolerance or anger. This motivation is definitely self-preserving and self-serving.
GENUINE SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY
Spiritual authority is not puffed-up. It protects and covers through a spirit of love that brings trust and
repentance, and builds maturity. The attitude is one of a servant and teacher who desires to fulfill Luke
4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He
has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering the sight to
the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” It is never condescending (does not “speak down” to
others), but rather speaks with them without functioning as a respecter of persons. It guides through love
and service with a faith-vision for the recipient to come to overcoming victory.
So different is control that is motivated by fear in an effort to feel more secure. It is always “standard
setting” causing “performance orientation.” It is always condescending and critical. And, it always
produces in those under it a kindred spirit of fear, rebellion and resistance through anger, destining that
person to follow the example and learn also to become a controller.
In every respect of our Christian walk, as a husband or wife, as a parent, as an employer or employee, or
as a member of the Body of Christ, this issue is critical! We must learn to operate in true spiritual
authority, which correctly applied will elicit a response instead of a reaction.
Abuse of authority is an issue still plaguing the “little church” (the family) and the corporate world, as
well as the greater Body of Christ – the “big Church.” The Word says in I Corinthians 14:38, “if a man
wishes to remain ignorant, let him remain ignorant.” But the Word also warns, “My people are destroyed
for a lack of knowledge.”
If you are a controller, you must repent and seek the Author for the source of true authority to flow
through you. If you are under the control of an abusive authority that renders it illegitimate, you need to
know the truth and be set free. Repentance and forgiveness insure deliverance, and the truth will set you
free from the virulent doctrine of the Nicolaitans.

THE MISSION OF THE NICOLAITAN SPIRIT
The vision of the comet-like star had hidden in its tail the Nicolaitan spirit, indicating that the satanic star
makes way for Nicolaitan-style rulership to follow. However, this is not an end in itself. The Nicolaitan
spirit has its own directive to prepare the way through its host for the Price of Persia (Dan. 10:12-13),
who seeks to gain a seat enthroned in the figurative pentagon at the center of the satanic star, a strategic,
prestigious and coveted position for that spirit. His mission is to emanate destruction through deception,
false peace and accusations.
This revelation came to us initially in 1991. Originally, we understood only the nature of the star and its
origin and purpose. Two years later, we saw that the star is actually the forerunner, setting up the theme
and preparing the way for the real thrust of the attack, that is, the setup of the Prince of Persia’s rule. The
following is a detailed explanation of the interpretation of the vision, which should enable the church to
effectively war and win against the strategy of the enemy, if we have ears to hear. All its importance is
tied to the times and seasons of the final hours of this age, and indicate dramatically the stepped up
warfare of this time period as Satan anticipates his ultimate fate.
THE PRINCE OF PERSIA
In contrast to the Python spirit, the Lord revealed to us that the Prince of Persia is characterized by the
cobra. In researching this viper, the following understanding was given in relation of this spirit:
1. Subtle – The Prince of Persia’s insidious approach, poise, strikes quickly with little or no warning,
(see Gen. 3:1)
2. Shrewd – It is calculating, deceitful, crafty (see Matt. 10:16)
3. Poisonous – It operates in false wisdom and is accusative, critical and condemning (see Prov. 23:32)
4. Angry – It has a sharp tongue and is sarcastic, harsh, unyielding (see Job 20:16)
