DAVID IMHOTEP Ph.D.
In 2008 David Imhotep, Ph.D. received the
world’s first Ph.D. in Ancient African History
from Union University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He has served as President of the Egyptology
Society of Miami at the Miami Museum of
Science and Planetarium and he was the
founder of the Association for the Study of
Classical African Civilizations (ASCAC),
Miami Chapter, established in 1991.
One of Dr. Imhotep’s primary reasons for
wanting a Ph.D. in Ancient African history
was to secure the credentials needed to fight
white supremacy in academia. Dr. Imhotep’s
first attack on white supremacy in academia
began with editorial rebuttals to Eurocentric
articles that appeared in Atlantis Rising
Magazine, as well as a response to National
Geographic’s, “The Black Pharaohs” in the
February 2008 issue correcting them on the
African Ancestry of all Pharaohs until the
Greek Ptolemies. His latest completed work
is an article on the “African Aqualithic” just
accepted by the Journal of Black Studies.
Widely respected as an outstanding
researcher and Afrotologist, Dr. Imhotep has
been researching and collecting information
on Black history since 1970. His doctoral
dissertation, “Nile Valley Civilizations
Predated that of Mesopotamia” (a 450-page
book available from Dr. Imhotep) provided
the impetus for his book, The First Americans
Were Africans: Documented Evidence.

Here is the evidence...
The evidence for ancient African migrations
comes in multiple forms: skulls and skeletons;
footprints in lava; campsites; genetic M174 and D
haploid groups; linguistics; paintings; tools;
carvings; architecture; Egyptian writing, artifacts
and structures.
The photo on the left
depicts the last
meeting of the
Algonquin Council,
which took place in
the 1920s in
Providence, RI. No
one in the picture nor
any of their ancestors
were slaves; these were Black Indians! At one
time they lived on a reservation in the area.
A 600-yard long breakwater and pier has been
discovered one mile off Bimini Island in the
Bahamas. It is at least six to seven thousand years
old. Evidence suggests it was probably built by the
Nile Valley people. Bimini structures, including
Egyptian columns and obelisks, that were built
before or at the end of the Ice Age have also
been found two miles west of Bimini Island in
ninety feet of water.
Cyrus Thomas, Director of the Eastern Mound
Division of the Smithsonian Institute’s Bureau of
Ethnology in the 1880s, noted that, “There was a
race of mound builders in America distinct from
the American Indians.” These “mound builders”
were short Africans who constructed
subterranean mound homes in the Americas.
Some were built with large stone corbel-vaulted
ceilings – identical to the one in the “Grand
Gallery” of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

an ancient Egyptian design. He sailed it from
Africa to the Barbados to prove it could have
been done in ancient times as well.
Along with their reed boats, Black
Africans brought their technology with
them to the Americas.
Africans created sophisticated
cultures throughout the North and
South American continents.
