*MMHS TV & Broadcasting:
I am so excited to announce that we had our best year EVER at the Utah High School
Film Festival. I've never known a more hard working and deserving group of kids. Not only did they deserve it, but they earned it.
It was a pretty cool experience for me to see the hours and hours they put into it and to see the smiles on their faces as they
were recognized at a state level.
Here are the results:
We entered 8 categories and placed in 6 of them - three of those bringing home first place trophies! I was on the board for the
festival and two of the directors were very impressed, recognizing that Maple Mountain was definitely 'on the map.'
FIRST - 6 Second Comedy - Ethan Jones
SECOND - 6 Second Comedy - Cody Cloward
FIRST - Short Film - Megan Warren
FIRST - Highlight Reel - Jaxon Hales
SECOND - 48 Hour Shootout - Ethan Russell, Jake Suyak, Megan Warren, Ethan Jones
THIRD - Music Video - McKay Kriser
HONORABLE MENTION - Documentary - Donovan Kelly
If you have any of these guys in your classes, be sure to give them another congrats. They deserve it! :)
--Ms. McMurdie
