Spring into Sport Stacking with Speed Stacks® Presentation Outline The Leader in Sport Stacking See It, Believe It, Teach It: Basics & Beginnings INTRODUCTION: Demonstration Team Entry- “Stack Spots” fitness activity/ live demonstration Opening Comments & Benefits of Sport Stacking Introduce 3 Competitive Stacks 3-3-3, 3-6-3, Cycle; Doubles; Timed 3-6-3 Relay; Head-to-Head Relays INSTRUCTION: Model Teaching the 3-3-3 stack (on floor; both hands, light soft touch: 3, 3-3, 3-3-3) Practice 3-3-3 for 1st race! 1st Race: Teacher, 1on1 race, all group race, Movement Option: Stack Tag-Everyone it-stack when tagged! Fitness Activity 3-3-3: Sitting V-Stretch (p 8), Push-up (p 10), Curl-Up (p 11), Lunge (p 9) Model Teaching a 6 stack (3-2-1 or “expert method”; spread cups; hold loose; “pinky” on lip of bottom cup; dominant hand holding 3 cups; non-dominant 2 cups; alternate like pistons (cues: right-left-right or left-right-left or 1-2-3-4-5); keep base of cups together; down stack—use gravity, slide down & out, avoid slamming!) Introduce “fumbles”: Tipper, Slider, Slanter, Toppler Individual Practice stacking 6-6 3-6-3 Stack (put it all together, practice 3-6-3) ACTIVITY: Floor Relays 3-3-3 or 3-6-3 stack continuously: End line or In line; variations; locomotors, moving exercises i.e., Jumping Jacks etc. or Animal walks; Crab walk, front back sideway etc. (For Activities—refer to the ‘On the Move with Speed Stacks’ Activity Guide & Fitness Stacking Guide) DEMO TEAM ROUTINE-(Optional) WRAP UP!
