Imagine scenery on the epic scale of an Indiana Jones or Lara Croft flick: forgotten temples entangled in jungle vines, cobwebbed
ancient tombs baking in the desert sun and bejeweled buried treasures beyond all reckoning. Wild rivers that rage, pumas
prowling in the night and hallucinogenic shaman rituals – it’s not just a movie here, it’s real life.
Like a continent in miniature, Peru will astound you with its diversity. Not even fierce Inca warriors or Spanish conquistadors
could totally dominate such jaw-dropping terrain, from glaciated Andean peaks where majestic condors soar, to almost
limitless coastal deserts, to the steamy rainforests of the Amazon basin. Peru is home to snow-capped mountains, giant
sand dunes, flocks of brightly hued tropical birds, postcard-perfect volcanoes and rocky Pacific outcroppings
inhabited by argumentative sea lions that will send your camera into overdrive.

important American city during colonial times. Take a walk around the Main
Square, where you can find the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishops
Palace and Metropolitan City Hall, beautiful buildings, all full of history and
tradition. Then, go all over San Francisco Monastery, probably the most spectacular
church of colonial Lima, housing the catacombs and a very fine museum of
religious art from the XVII century. The tour goes all the way to the modern district

made out of adobe, and end up in the touristic district of Miraflores, where you

Day 3 – Lima – Optional Pachacamac Tour This morning after breakfast enjoy
a day at leisure to explore Lima independently or take a half day optional tour to
Pachacamac. Experience in awe as we have a guided tour of the splendid and
vast archaeological citadel of Pachacamac. A sacred and ceremonial site dating
back to the beginnings of Christianity where thousands of pilgrims converged to
pay tribute and consult the Pachacamac oracle, who they believed could see the
past, the future and people’s fate. Pachacamac was also believed to house the
creator of the universe and a divinity adored by old Andean civilizations. Highlights
include the Temple of Pachacamac, the Sun God shrine, and the Palace of the
Chosen Women or Virgins of the Sun. (B)
Day 4 –Lima/Cusco After breakfast transfer out to the airport for your flight to
Cusco. Arrival in Cusco. Reception and transfer to your hotel. After check-in there
will be a tour to show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of
the Inca palaces. You will visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can
appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the
Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven
to the Inca fortress of Sacsahuamán, to the underground cave and temple of
Kenko, have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará and then you will enter to
Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Finally, we stop at the living art
workshop “Inka´s Expression”. The visit will allow passengers to admire how the
local artisans create wonderful silver pieces, paintings and wood carvings.
Overnight in Cusco. (B,D)
Day 5 –Cusco/Sacred Valley/Cusco Today you have an excursion along the
Urubamba Valley, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to visit the archaeological remains
in the village of Pisac, 31 kilometers (19 miles) from Cusco, with a view to the
Vilcanota River. The well-preserved fortresses, urban complexes, temples and
Andean terraces built by the Incas, create an imposing and unforgettable view. We
will visit the colorful market of Pisac, where you can appreciate a blend of color,
tradition and local people showing handicrafts and local products. You will have
lunch at a local restaurant, and then go on with the tour to Ollantaytambo, the
most ancient and continuously occupied village of the American continent, and we
will visit the namesake fortress. Overnight in Cusco. (B,L)
Day 6 – Cusco/Machu Picchu/Cusco Today you will take a much anticipated
tour to Machu Picchu. Enjoy a morning departure to the train station to catch

wonders of the world and an important source of energy: Machu Picchu. The
excursion is made by train and on the way we will be able to enjoy an impressive
view of Urubamba's Sacred Valley. Once we arrive at Aguas Calientes, our
collaborators will assist you in order to board the bus that will take you to the
citadel. It will be an unforgettable experience. A professional guide will walk us
through the marvelous story that enwraps this charming place. After our guided
visit, you shall have free time to explore the place at your leisure, or simply relax
and meditate. At the appropriate time we will begin our descent to Aguas
Calientes and further along the afternoon, board the train back to Cusco. Lunch
