A decade later, Guy proposed on a beach in Fiji, and six months later the couple exchanged vows in front of 100 guests. Acknowledging the bride’s Greek heritage, the couple chose a Grecian wedding theme with a colour scheme of orange, cream, and gold. WATERFRONT WONDERLAND The couple had an intimate ceremony and reception at The Lagoon Seafood Restaurant in Wollongong. “I always knew I wanted to get married at the Lagoon so everything else was decided after the venue was booked,” says the bride. After a small ceremony by the water, the party moved to the Moonlight Reflections room. Guests enjoyed canapés on the verandah overlooking the water before a sit-down dinner of grilled barramundi and beef fillet. GREEK GODDESS The bride wore a cream Carla Zampatti gown from David Jones. It was a Grecianinspired, one-shoulder design with soft draping around the body and cinched in at the waist. Chunky gold accessories complemented the look. The bridesmaids wore bright-orange oneshoulder dresses. BRIDE’S ADVICE “Do what feels right for you and don’t buy into all the stress and chaos that can come with planning a wedding.” THE LAGOON Stuart Park, North Wollongong 2500 T: 02 4226 1677 E: [email protected] W: www.lagoonrestaurant.com.au
