CONTESTANT RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Chili is defined as any kind of meat or combination of meats that is cooked with red or green chili peppers, various
spices, and other ingredients. Meat sauce pasta dishes are not considered chili.
2. Contestants are responsible for supplying any and all of their chili ingredients.
3. Chili is to be cooked prior to the cook-off and transported to JJ Bittings already heated to proper temperature on
the day of the event in your own crock pot. JJ Bittings will supply you with a table, electrical outlet, tasting cups,
plastic utensils for tasting and bread for dipping.
4. Each contestant is required to cook a minimum of 2 gallons of chili.
5. You must provide your ingredients with this registration form as well as at the contest. Please also rate the heat of your
chili on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the hottest). This will help inform the public on the day of the contest.
6. Comment cards will be provided and presented to the public upon their entry at JJ Bittings. The score from the
People’s Choice cards and judges will determine the winner.
